Clapham Saint Posted 11 March, 2011 Share Posted 11 March, 2011 I've had the below from human resources at BP! Very flattered that I'm on their radar but it does seem a shame that they don't seem to realise that I'm an accountant... As an accountant probably isn't suitable for their needs does anybody want me to pass on the referral? -------------------------- Attention Counsel, Request for Legal assistance .. We the management of BP Global | BP Oil company mainly in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG),United Kingdom require your legal representation for our North American Customers. We got your contact through the International Bar Association and after going through your profile, we are of the convinced that you are qualified to provide the legal services we require. We are of the opinion that the ability to consolidate payments from north America will eradicate delays due to inter-continental monetary transaction between the united Kingdom and north America. We understand that a proper attorney client retainer (Agreement) will provide the necessary authorization and we are most inclined to commence talks as soon as possible. If interested mail me at the address below: Email Contact: email@bp-uk.tk Your consideration of our request is highly anticipated Mrs Alice Wood Human Resource Department Recruitment Section E-mail :info@bp-uk.tk London(UK). http://www.bp.com ............................................................ Deano6 Posted 11 March, 2011 Share Posted 11 March, 2011 Hi there Clapham, Don't want to get ahead of myself but this is right up my street. Not only do I specialise in corporate financial law, I'm also based in the States (New York) right now. BP would be an amazing client to add to our portfolio! Would you mind if I took this lead and wrote them back with our references? Many thanks, Dean

Verbal Posted 11 March, 2011 Share Posted 11 March, 2011 Interesting. It seems some spammers have realised that the old stuff about relatives in government with millions to get out of the country is wearing thin, and are trying a slightly new approach. Why don't you email them back and then post their response up on here. Curious to see how quickly they ask for your bank details.

Many thanks, Dean Dean, * It looks like this is a great day for our businesses! * They are very keen to work with you and are even prepared to make a payment for fees upfront as a gesture of goodwill. * Could you let me have your bank details and I will arrange for the initial payment of £1,000,000,000 to be made immediately. * They will also need to confirm your identity when they speak to you directly (for security reasons) and so could you let me know your mother’s maiden name and the name of your first pet so that I can load the security questions into their system, as per the required protocols. * *In great anticipation of your rapid and prompt response, * Yours respectfully, * Lagos Saint
