alpine_saint Posted 8 March, 2011 Author Posted 8 March, 2011 Hampshire Constbulary will be having kittens, and all our matches will start at 12:30. All your wives will expect you to be gardening in the afternoon or to meet them at West Quay after the match for a little light round of smalls shopping.
LGTL Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 Could well happen, would be brilliant and would make a nice change to slumming it to places like Burnley, Hull and Preston continuously.
SO5 4BW Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 Could well happen, would be brilliant and would make a nice change to slumming it to places like Burnley, Hull and Preston continuously. Takes a leap of the imagination to see going to Fratton as 'a nice change', but I know what you mean...
(not THE) Kevin Moore Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 How mental would that be ? This is bordering on positivity non? But yeah, I think it would be awesome!! Would love that to happen for the matchday experiences, the fact that local competition can be a spur to better performances (look at Cardiff and Swansea this season) and it might go some way to killing the mejah stereotype that 'proper' footie clubs/fans come from big cities or the north or big cities in the north.
Cabrone Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 Also if you add in Reading, Bristol City, Palace(?), Millwall, Watford and maybe West Ham there should be plenty of easy-to-reach away days (IF we get promoted).
thesaint sfc Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 Saints & Brighton in the Champ would do it for me (as I live in Brighton)
Wes Tender Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 It would only be worth contemplating if we had gone up as champions, Brighton as the second automatic promotion team and Bournemouth via the play-offs. It would be even better if the Skates were to be relegated, but regrettably that doesn't appear to be likely.
Saint_clark Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 I'd rather see us Brighton and Huddersfield go up in all honesty, as all 3 of us have very rich owners and could well challenge in the Prem.
Jones91 Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 It won't seem that mental... 3 of the teams are already in the same division and Pompey probably won't even exist then
Charlie Wayman Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 (edited) To be honest I couldn't give a toss, having no wish to watch Portsmouth, Bournemouth or Brighton for a minute longer than is necessary to get to the PL. If you're going for collectivism just remember that Reading & Swindon are probably closer than Brighton although I can't be arsed to check that out either. What with Davies saying on the OS he's going to concentrate tonight for once (about effing time too!), I'm not sure I can handle any more 'revelations' today> Edited 8 March, 2011 by Saint_clark Homophopic remark
PhilippineSaint Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 There are 7 South Coast Clubs Exactly Which ones is Alpine refering too? Exeter Plymouth Torquay and Brighton I expect
Matthew Le God Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 (edited) How mental would that be ? As mental as your geographical skills! Which "all four" are you talking about? Brighton, Plymouth, Exeter(not really on the coast tbh), Southampton, Torquay, Portsmouth or Bournemouth? Edited 8 March, 2011 by Matthew Le God
hypochondriac Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 As mental as your geography skills! Which "all four" are you talking about? Brighton, Plymouth, Exeter, Southampton, Torquay, Portsmouth, Bournemouth You really are so dull. You know what he meant, why be a tw*t about it?
hypochondriac Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 Yawn. Exactly. Sometimes you are an idiot Alpine but sometimes you make perfectly reasonable threads and get a load of penis-like replies.
Matthew Le God Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 You really are so dull. You know what he meant, why be a tw*t about it? Why are Plymouth or Torquay any less on the "South Coast" (as the opening post asks) than Brighton or Southampton?
St Marco Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 I'd love it! Would mean at least 3 grounds that we won't have to travel far to!
southern comfort Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 It would only be worth contemplating if we had gone up as champions, Brighton as the second automatic promotion team and Bournemouth via the play-offs. It would be even better if the Skates were to be relegated, but regrettably that doesn't appear to be likely. Yeah very likely that.... Nice site by the way
Miltonaggro Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 I think it would be tolerable for a novelty season, an amusing stepping stone on our march back to our rightful place in the Pantheon of world footballing excellence! Assuming we beat Yeovil this evening...
mack rill Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 How mental would that be ? Best you lot start living up to the booookies odds at start of season, Be a shame not to join in at the South coast end of season street party A alps,
Fan The Flames Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 Exactly. Sometimes you are an idiot Alpine but sometimes you make perfectly reasonable threads and get a load of penis-like replies. Ok this season with 5 south coast clubs, 2 of whom we are fighting for promotion with, against next season; 4 south coast clubs, 1 of whom will be pompey is in my opinion 17% more mental. That's takes into account my dad being a Plymouth fan other wise it would be more. Is that answer better, what's your opinion Hypo or are you just here policing others.
Dark Munster Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 Best you lot start living up to the booookies odds at start of season, Be a shame not to join in at the South coast end of season street party A alps, Would that be the party where we're celebrating Chinny pulling the plug and where we're dancing on your grave?
mack rill Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 Would that be the party where we're celebrating Chinny pulling the plug and where we're dancing on your grave? Miltonaggro Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 The south coast survival battle next season will be Portsmuff FC V PricewaterhouseCoopers...
