Huffton Posted 7 March, 2011 Posted 7 March, 2011 Thanks to work I won't be able to get to SMS till about 8pm tomorrow. Will they let me in still if I bang hard enough on the door?
S-Clarke Posted 7 March, 2011 Posted 7 March, 2011 I arrived late for the Bournemouth league game this year (around 20 mins late) and the gates in the Kingsland were still open when I got there, still a few people running in at that point.
Evil Monkey Posted 7 March, 2011 Posted 7 March, 2011 I turned up late to a game earlier in the season. I got let in, but had to make up the time after the game.
Mattio Posted 7 March, 2011 Posted 7 March, 2011 I turned up late to a game earlier in the season. I got let in, but had to make up the time after the game.
RonManager Posted 7 March, 2011 Posted 7 March, 2011 Get them to leave the key under a brick or something.
Littlelat17 Posted 7 March, 2011 Posted 7 March, 2011 Only been late for a game once a couple of seasons ago and all the turnstyles were closed at the Northam, eventually had to ring my mate in the stadium and get him to send a steward down.
scott_saints Posted 7 March, 2011 Posted 7 March, 2011 Have arrived late a fair bit. Don't go for the turnstiles if you're more than 10 or so minutes late, go for the red doors next to them. There are always stewards on the othe side who will let you in.
macca155 Posted 7 March, 2011 Posted 7 March, 2011 I arrived 10 mins into the 2nd half and still got in. Don't ask had to work late seriously fed up but was determined to see some of the match. There is usually a late gate or just bang on the door and a steward will let you in. Avoid half time if you can they don't like doing it then.
Matthew Le God Posted 7 March, 2011 Posted 7 March, 2011 Pretty sure there is a "late gate". Even has a sign above it saying "late gate". Or have I just imagined such a thing?
Scudamore Posted 7 March, 2011 Posted 7 March, 2011 My record was turning up on the 70th minute. My dad was ****sssed...
Nexstar Posted 7 March, 2011 Posted 7 March, 2011 Just bang the red door by your turnstile, usually has a steward behind it.
dubai_phil Posted 7 March, 2011 Posted 7 March, 2011 I once turned up about 10 mins late at The Dell against Sunderland I think it was. Missed 3 goals Left early cos would have got a parking ticket missed two more

chocco boxo Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 We have many a player turn up late over the years, saying that some like Puncheon (insert a number of players) never showed up in the first place!
Saint_Ash Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 There are late gates around the stadium that stay open for 20-25 mins into the game. If they are closed then you have to bang on the red doors, there are always someone behind them but whether they let you in is up to them. A nice trick from away fans is to bang on the door and when a steward opens it several fans barge through. There might be a bit of a delay as a minimum of two stewards have to be present when a door is opened.
Appy Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 It also works if you are too fat to get in the turnstile, i haven't had to do that YET.
