Dog Posted 7 March, 2011 Posted 7 March, 2011 I am looking for a car for £100 or less as I am doing a charity drive with 3 mates from here to Sicily and back... Anything considered, but wouldn't mind a diesel estate.
thesaint sfc Posted 7 March, 2011 Posted 7 March, 2011 I've got a Ford Focus you can have for £3000? It is petrol and not an estate.

dune Posted 7 March, 2011 Posted 7 March, 2011 I think you'll struggle as scrapping prices are high atm.
suewhistle Posted 7 March, 2011 Posted 7 March, 2011 You should have asked 4 years ago! I was getting rid of a perfectly good Fiesta with a little bit of rust, I was worried about the local salted mountain roads. To re-register it in Italy would have cost more than the car was worth, so I took it back to the UK and sold it there. For £100.

Dog Posted 8 March, 2011 Author Posted 8 March, 2011 Does it have to be taxed and tested? Taxed yes, I'll pay for that, tested yes, but one of the crew is a mechanic and does MOT's, he said as long as evrything works he'll stick a ticket on it. I mean we are only driving it for a week then when we get back we're going to smoke it!
dune Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 What is the charity you're raising funds towards? If it sits comfortably with my ideologies i may be willing to make a small donation.
thesaint sfc Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 It's for the Federation of boring, moronic w*nkers Dune. Would you like his paypal address?
suewhistle Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 ...four words that sit together so badly... It's was a car, a cheap one! Not a flaming penis extension.;-)
hamster Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 I'll keep my ear to the ground mate. My nipper paid to enter a similar 'race' a few years ago but his co-pilot pulled out at the last minute so he scrapped the car and cut his losses. Good luck anyway, sounds like fun.
dune Posted 9 March, 2011 Posted 9 March, 2011 It's for a local hospice or old peoples home. If you accept donations via paypal pm me and i'll send you a donation.
Dog Posted 9 March, 2011 Author Posted 9 March, 2011 If you accept donations via paypal pm me and i'll send you a donation. That is extremely kind of you dune, and it brought a tiny tear to my eye, but let's get the car sorted first, then I'll take you up on your generous offer
