St Chalet Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=10413 Sorry I posted elsewhere but thought it deserved its own thread. Great news.
Professor Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 This is the equivalent of a multi-million pound signing. If we had bought him from anywhere else, even the Prem biased English press would have given it a headline. As it is - barely a mention. But MS has the ability to make saints a very hard team to beat.
Colinjb Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 If we had bought him from anywhere else, even the Prem biased English press would have given it a headline. As it is - barely a mention. CROCKED PLAYER WHO HASN'T PLAYED COMPETITIVELY FOR 3 SEASONS SIGNED FOR COMING CAMPAIGN It would achieve headlines on the other club's sites, but for reason's that do not acknowledge his obvious talent and what he brings to the party.
pedg Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Hopefully the club can find the cash for a large wooden box and a big shipment of cotton wool. Very very good news.
saints triumph Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 At last some positive news for the Saints, a fit Killer is one hell of a player for this league. If ever a player deserves success this man does. Go get em Killer.
SarniaSaint Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Really good news I think. Now we just need Davies back as well.
SNSUN Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 I'm delighted he's back, and it seems like he's in great shape now, but I can't help but wonder for every second of every day whether he'll relapse. Still, Davies, Svensson, Perry, Thomas and the youngsters, it certainly seems like we're sorted at centre back this season. Fingers crossed for the full back slots.
Mr Saints Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Even if he doesn't turn out to be the Killer of old, what a ****ing achievement.
Colinjb Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 There's a Killer on the loose again! Mate, nothing to do with the post, but loving the Avatar!!!!
offix Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Great news. I can only imagine how much better a shape we would be in if he had been able to play the last couple of seasons.
TopGun Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 Great. But should he be playing with knee mufflers? (One to protect, one to disguise).
LGTL Posted 7 August, 2008 Posted 7 August, 2008 He obviously showed all of his footballing attributes during recovery too. Amazing he has come back and even if it doesn't last very long, i'm delighted for him.
alpine_saint Posted 8 August, 2008 Posted 8 August, 2008 DO we know the terms ? Is it "pay as you play" ? Really got my fingers crossed for him.
CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 8 August, 2008 Posted 8 August, 2008 5 operations on the same knee - think of all that scar tissue . It's a footballing miracle this bloke can still walk never-mind play competitive football . Micheal Svensson = Saints legend .
Saint for ever Posted 8 August, 2008 Posted 8 August, 2008 Very good news, a better signing than we could ever have hoped for.
Ekelund24 Posted 8 August, 2008 Posted 8 August, 2008 5 operations on the same knee - think of all that scar tissue . It's a footballing miracle this bloke can still walk never-mind play competitive football . Micheal Svensson = Saints legend . I would imagine the bulk of the scar tissue would've been removed in the last or a seperate operation and that the slow rebuild of muscle around the knee along with the re-attachment of ligaments and the addition of new cartildge will make it as strong or stronger than before. Add that to the fact he is a psycho of a defender and won't bottle anything I think he will be back in the Sweden squad before the next World Cup
St.Patrik Posted 8 August, 2008 Posted 8 August, 2008 On swedish site fotbollskanalen Michael just said that he has signed a contract so he can play tomorrow BUT the terms will be sorted next week since the lenght of the contract offered is 6 months and Micheal wants a year.......He is positive tho that it will be solved next week.
lumpofshipperley Posted 8 August, 2008 Posted 8 August, 2008 I wonder what his wages are going to be? Interested to see if they compare wih the nippers or the senior players.

I think so too. Lowe knows there is no better way to **** up-against-a-wall any goodwill and optimisim there is from the fan base at the moment than to push Killer out of the door to another club.
funkymojo44 Posted 8 August, 2008 Posted 8 August, 2008 Best news i've heard for a long time, and bigger than any signing we've made - Svennson back in defence is a major difference.
fareham saint phil Posted 8 August, 2008 Posted 8 August, 2008 best signing we've made in years, the lift it gives everyone is there for all to see
