Picked up from Tim Vickery's excellent blog on the BBC sports website, Jhon Viafara got a mention in passing that he's scored 2 goals in 2 games in the Copa Libertadores this season for his team, Athletico Junior. Good to see him doing so well and back home in Colombia after a spell in Peru.

 

It's put them in a great position to qualify with 2 wins from 2 games, with potentially the weakest team in the group still to be played.

 

For those who've not seen Tim's blogs, they are the best thing on the BBC website and are usually published on a Monday, very informative look at South American football.

Heard Vickery mention this on the World Football Phone in the other week. Good to see Viafara doing well, always liked him.
