Minsk Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 At the time of the original fixture I predicted 1-1 for this match; I have now revised it to a 3-1 win. (Looking at the 'stats' thread we need to pick up more 3-1 wins, especially away from home.)
itchen_dan Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 Another massive chance tonight. Can see Brighton losing 2-1 at Yeovil and 'Udders drawing 1-1 at Hartlepool. Saints to win 3-1!! COYS!
Tamesaint Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 This is a massive game as far as I'm concerned. Win it and we're 3 behind Boscombe with 2 games in hand and a better goal difference, and above PBoro and Hudders and still a game in hand. If we win tomorrow a draw at Boscombe will be quite a good result, lose tomorrow and Boscombe starts looking "make or break".We also need to ramp up the pressure on Brighton, being caught up by one side is one thing, but the presure increases if it's the autos you could blow, rather than just the title. My views exactly. Tonight is really make or break. I feel confident but hope it is not misplaced.
dannysfc Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 Am leaving for the game soon as I am getting the coach and I rang up the Saints TO to check about the tickets and they said that you can use the same ticket that you got for the scheduled game when it was supposed to be played which is Good news for me ! I also checked on http://www.footballgroundguide.co.uk about where the best Pubs are and I saw that there are a few around the ground so depending on what time the coach gets in I will be going for a pre match drink before the game! Will see you all there whoever's going to it on here! COYR !!
Saint_Jonny Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 I wish I was as happy as you danny boy! Have a good one!
RedAndWhite91 Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 Looking forward to it tonight, 3 points is a must. I'm confident of victory.
Toadhall Saint Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 Table could look good tonight. Saints need to win Udders draw or lose and we go 3rd - and puts us within a game of B'muff.
dune Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 I will only be happy if we win 3-0. 6-0 makes us cocky and 4-1 means we switched off.
Ken Tone Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 I will only be happy if we win 3-0. 6-0 makes us cocky and 4-1 means we switched off. To be honest I think I'd be fairly ok with the 6-0 personally
ottery st mary Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 Confident of a Saints win...4-0. Spiderman, Lambert 2 and Lallana.. Nigel to player a blinder with tactics and substitutions.. COYR WIFM
saints-cris Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 Last 5 games have been win, draw, win, draw, win. Make that what you will.
St Marco Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 They got the worst home record in the league and have let in more goals then anyone. I think we will win this one 0-3 Come on you Saints!
John B Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 Confident of a Saints win...4-0. Spiderman, Lambert 2 and Lallana.. Nigel to player a blinder with tactics and substitutions.. COYR WIFM Not sure we need any tactics as we should win easily
Leicestersaint Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 3 - 1 to Saints. A clean sheet would be nice though.
Window Cleaner Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 Walsall's results have improved a bit of late, probably due to the manager change, might not be as easy as many seem to think. 2-1 win for us perhaps.

THEVMAN Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 Barnard should start as Guly never travelled up with the team.
trousers Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 Barnard should start as Guly never travelled up with the team. Guly not on the bus? He didn't get a taxi instead did he....? ;-)
trousers Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 Barnard should start as Guly never travelled up with the team. Schneiderlin starting too...? Cheers
Badger Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 Walsall's results have improved a bit of late, probably due to the manager change, might not be as easy as many seem to think. 2-1 win for us perhaps. They have indeed.A draw tonight will lift them out of the bottom four so they should be motivated. Providing we approach it in the right way and NA motivates then we should still have enough to win though.
Badger Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 Guly not on the bus? He didn't get a taxi instead did he....? ;-) or is he still in the building ?
goodymatt Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 A repeat of last year would be perfect, 3-1 saints. If Guly didn't travel then Barney should definitely start! I think he deserves too either way based on saturday and the fact he scores more per game than Guly. Come on you Saints!!!

I think he deserves too either way based on saturday and the fact he scores more per game than Guly. Come on you Saints!!! We could go 4-5-1 I suppose but Barney deserves to start. Trouble is he doesn't seem to last 90 all that well and we may have to revert to a different formation from about 75 minutes onwards.

Window Cleaner Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 Connolly should be on the bench too in that case. Would be good to see him get a run out tonight Depends if they're short of work in the treatment room tomorrow.

Window Cleaner Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 Connolly = like-for-like replacement? Not convinced. Rather N'Guessan wide left with AL playing off Ricky.
Hamilton Saint Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 Last 5 games have been win, draw, win, draw, win. Make that what you will. 3 wins and 2 draws?
stu0x Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 Barnard seems far more effective when coming on as a sub. The problem is that he scores when he comes on as a sub, is rewarded with a start, and more often than not fails to deliver... repeat ad nauseum. Walsall are likely to park the bus. So I'd like to see an aggressive 4-3-3, N'Guessan and Chambo out wide with Lallana at the spearhead of a Chelsea-esque midfield 3. Bags of attacking intent and gives us the most flexibility for substitutions if we need to make a change (either to shut up shop or push for a winner). But it won't happen. I predict Barnard straight in to a 4-4-2, and a long laboured effort trying to break down a resolute Walsall side. Narrow win for Saints, but a 0-0 would by no means be out of the question either.
latter day saint Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 see Walsall have got a new argie midfielder. hope he has a quiet game! http://www.saddlers.co.uk/page/News/0,,10428~2301976,00.html
del boy Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 I think we should play Fonte upfront as he is mobile and has scored four goals this season. Connolly hasn't scored any so we should put him in at centre back instead. Morgan must play in goal. Good to see someone talk a bit of sense on here at last - FACT
Suhari Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 see Walsall have got a new argie midfielder. hope he has a quiet game! http://www.saddlers.co.uk/page/News/0,,10428~2301976,00.html Christ, Italy to the blackstuff: where did it all go wrong? Saints to come flying out of the blocks tonight, and will be 1 up inside 14 minutes. COYR WIFM.
SO16_Saint Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 Last 5 games have been win, draw, win, draw, win. Make that what you will. we havent lost in the last 5 games?
Saint Fan CaM Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 My first choices for the two CMs would be Chaplow and Schneiderlin anyway. Agreed - well almost. We are simply better with these guys it's true, but not on a cold Tuesday night up north perhaps. I think playing Hammond makes a lot of sense when it comes to putting in a shift away from home, so my choice for this game would be him and Chappers. Other than that, we should win this comfortably. 1-1 draw it is then.
Dark Munster Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 Last 5 games have been win, draw, win, draw, win. Make that what you will. Tonight has 0-0 written all over it?

Start praying that Kelvin doesn't collide with a post or something !

Chris Larkin Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 I should be driving to the match now, but somehow contrived to leave the light on in my car last night so it won't start. So annoyed with myself. Guess I'll just have to follow it on here. Anyway, COYR! Let's win the games we should and get promoted automatically.
Window Cleaner Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 Shea gone back to Arsenal - Forecast on the bench !!! Start praying that Kelvin doesn't collide with a post or something ! didn't even stay the month then,surely we're not going to risk Forecast at any time in the near future.Strange decision,I mean Arsenal can't be short of the odd goalkeeper. If Kelvin should get injured we'd have to park the bus;and probably the QE2 as well;

Oh they have a lot of odd keepers :-) Presuambly they called him back and presumably we will go and get a decent reserve as back up.
Window Cleaner Posted 1 March, 2011 Posted 1 March, 2011 So no Chamberlin? Who is on the right? Chappers I expect.
