I'll be there on Gold Cup day. I have no idea who is going to win that one though! Very open.

Finding the winner of any race will be hard. At present if I had to name one for the Gold Cup it would be Pandorama. Reported to be working well and has been supported on Betfair.

Last year the betting was awful. Out of a group of about 8 of us we had no more than two or three wins all day.

Cheers for the tip!

Good work on getting a thread set up Chris. I agree we all need a better performance than last year! I was on French Opera in the last, to see him pipped by Pigeon Island on the line was sickening and just summed up the whole week for me! I will be there with benjii on the Friday, but will be following the races all week. I see Paddy Power are giving a refund on all losing bets if cue card wins the Supreme Novices. That's a decent offer if you fancy one of the other horses in the race but are a little frightened by Cue Card's runs this season (much like I am with Spirit Son)

It'll be good to see Ruby back.

I don't think I'm gonna bother spending too much this year, probably a patent every day and then a bit more on the big races.

Looking forward to what Peddlers Cross does in the CH. Midnight Chase e/w in the Gold Cup too, that horse loves Cheltenham.

I thought Pandorama wouldn't travel over unless the ground was like a bog at Cheltenham. According to MetCheck not a drop of rain predicted for Cheltenham this coming week. It must be on the soft side of good there at the moment.

For a bit of fun, those interested should put up a selection of a horse they intend to back at the Festival.

My selection would have to be Ghizao in the Arkle.

Giddy up!

I suggest you put up a selection for EACH race and then that will be one less to consider, just like the good old days :D

PS: For any newbies Cato is the worst tipster ever on this forum, really, he is that bad

Says the man that puts up a mudlark for the Gold Cup

I'm not after timing here, I can't be bothered with going back through the records but on Day 1 of the 2009 Cheltenham festival I put up 4 of the 5 winners of the TV races which included the 22/1 Punjabi :p

Fair to say thanks entirely to a 33/1 winner, 70's on Betfair :D

Yes, I was going to mention that but was in such a state of shock was unable to do so

Notably in 2009 my wonderful threads and input were missing, the response on here that year was very poor, oh dear oh dear :D

Hopefully ( or maybe not) will be able to drag Frankie back in time for the festival ! I assume the kipper man is forever banned

I am going on Ladies Day this year. Hoping for winners and a blowy.

I will also be betting heavily on the other days, only working the first day of the festival and off the rest so probably be brassic by that weekend......

You are always brassic anyway

ahh bungle old chap.

just need the bloke with the Iain Dowie avatar and REDARMY and we will be back to the frequent 'losers' from last year

Oh and Hatch

Red Army has posted ( post 11), the bloke with the Iain Dowie avatar had a similar name to Bungle, was it Bungler/Bungliest ? Frankie could be back, has not posted ever on Cheltenham to my knowledge. Hatch might find the lure of once more showing his tipping prowess too hard to resist. Personally though purely for extra entertainment we need the kipper man to be given a 4 day amnesty.

Hello mate!

I hear the logistics emails have started flowing - I will have access to my usual email again soon so will be in the loop. Looking forward to it. Been practising my press-ups.

I've been given a tip of Sparky May in the Mares' Hurdle at Cheltenham. Anyone know anything about this horse? Is it worth a punt?

Quevega will be the massive, massive favourite here and if she turns up on top form, she'll win. Sparky May is unbeaten this season and has beaten both Carole's legacy and L'accordioniste already this season. At decent odds she'd definitely be worth a punt.
