Same here; 8/10. I got the eMac [easy mistake. Don't know Apples well] and the IBM Portable PC5155 wrong. Could have sworn that machine was a Compaq. Just checked the pictures. No wonder..!

Here's the Compaq in close up:

And here's the IBM:

Add in a bit of brain-fade, and you get a mistake.

Bet you got a leg-up with Scummer's and My mistake.;)

I have to be honest and say I didnt read the posts down the thread before I did it just in case someone had posted spoilers! And, whilst being honest, that IBM / Compaq one was a pure guess!

5/10

was mad at getting the portable one wrong, I actually had one of those old compaqs at home for a while, never knew Big Blue made one as well!

That's now 3 confirmed cases of people mistaking the IBM for a Compaq Portable, and not just guessing incorrectly.

I actually feel bad that I did so well now. When I started this thread I was expecting loads of people to get 8, 9 or 10. I don't want to be a geek......

Never be ashamed of doing well in anything positive. People who get pleasure from failure from non-mainstream knowledge are just herd losers. Never fall into the trap of the sheep-like attitude to enjoy being bad at non-fashionable things. Bollix to that mentality. Be individual. You can at least celebrate your excellent memory, or the fact that you're extremely observant, if nothing else.

I loved the BBC Micro computer at school. Even better was the dot matrix printer which was as big as a desk!

Yeah I remember that! Its quite funny looking back when we thought that it was the dogs ******!

FWIW I got 7/10. 7 in a row after an 0 for 3 start! :D
