vince Posted 25 February, 2011 Posted 25 February, 2011 4-1 ?? BBC says Notts County 1 up, BWP missed a pen to level.
trousers Posted 25 February, 2011 Posted 25 February, 2011 Full time. 1-0 to County. That'll do nicely
InvictaSaint Posted 25 February, 2011 Posted 25 February, 2011 SSN interviewing County's Krystian Pearce.....'Krystian'? Really? Do they just allow random spellings of any name now? Jeez, no wonder things are going down the pan....

beatlesaint Posted 25 February, 2011 Posted 25 February, 2011 BWP scuffed a penalty straight at the keper on about 70 mins. BWP takes their penalties ??? Now that is funny !
Doctoroncall Posted 25 February, 2011 Posted 25 February, 2011 BWP takes their penalties ??? Now that is funny ! That's just reminded me of his sh!t effort for the crossbar challenge when at Saints.
The boy done well Posted 25 February, 2011 Posted 25 February, 2011 Terrible game on a terrible pitch won by a terrible goal off a county player's backside and made for us by a terrible penalty miss from Wright-Phillips (who on earth would want him back). But what a great result!
scotty Posted 25 February, 2011 Posted 25 February, 2011 You're a fine one to talk, Victor. "whats your vector, Victor?"
aintforever Posted 25 February, 2011 Posted 25 February, 2011 That's 3 defeats on the bounce for Charlton now, I think we can safely say Chris Powell's honeymoon period is over. He will be a sh!t manager IMO.
Dr Who? Posted 26 February, 2011 Posted 26 February, 2011 We seem to do better when we are not playing!!!
saint lard Posted 26 February, 2011 Posted 26 February, 2011 (edited) We appear to have been given copius amounts of good fortune reference our rivals recent results. Perhaps we should start creating our own good fortune instead of relying on others. Other sides have really failed to capitalise on our recent poor results and performances, just like we have with them. very weak and mediocre league, which makes our lack of progress more galling. ericofarabia Posted 26 February, 2011 Posted 26 February, 2011 We seem to do better when we are not playing!!! Another night where we failed to win though .... Adkins out
JonnyLove Posted 26 February, 2011 Posted 26 February, 2011 You see the funniest thing about this thread is that you have access to the internet so instead of going to say the BBC sport page (or any other football notification page) you come on the and post a thread asking what the score was.

"recent poor results"? One defeat in what...11 games?
saint lard Posted 26 February, 2011 Posted 26 February, 2011 "recent poor results"? One defeat in what...11 games? Notts County,Tranmere,Peterborough,Hartlepool and the narrow victory against Carlisle...all poor performances.
Colinjb Posted 26 February, 2011 Posted 26 February, 2011 You're a fine one to talk, Victor. Massive, massive fail.
InvictaSaint Posted 26 February, 2011 Posted 26 February, 2011 Notts County,Tranmere,Peterborough,Hartlepool and the narrow victory against Carlisle...all poor performances. You also said poor results. Tranmere was both a poor result and poor performance, but it is nonetheless a fact that we have had only ONE defeat in 11. Why always search for the cloud rather than the silver lining?
Appy Posted 26 February, 2011 Posted 26 February, 2011 Notts County,Tranmere,Peterborough,Hartlepool and the narrow victory against Carlisle...all poor performances. Peterborough was not a poor performance.
beardy Posted 26 February, 2011 Posted 26 February, 2011 Peterborough was not a poor performance. Yes, yes it was.
JustMike Posted 26 February, 2011 Posted 26 February, 2011 Peterborough was not a poor performance. attacking 3rd no probs, very poor at the back though
Dr Who? Posted 26 February, 2011 Posted 26 February, 2011 I am sorry, but you can look through my posts and I try and stay positive, but our form over the last 6 games is just not good enough with only 2 wins!! http://www.englishfootball.info/leagueone/table/index.php?table=recent_form

Chicken With A Banjo Posted 26 February, 2011 Posted 26 February, 2011 attacking 3rd no probs, very poor at the back though It was a windy day. It was Impossibly hard to judge where the ball was going, we were always going to let in goals. Too harsh to say we were very poor at the back. It was a freak game.
Thedelldays Posted 26 February, 2011 Posted 26 February, 2011 Recent poor results? Some seem to think we are losing most weeks. Let's get our games in hand out of the way first before being a defeatist
Turkish Posted 26 February, 2011 Posted 26 February, 2011 Some seem to think we are losing most weeks. Let's get our games in hand out of the way first before being a defeatist Jamie! Where have you been? I've missed you!
um pahars Posted 26 February, 2011 Posted 26 February, 2011 Recent poor results? We certainly haven't been firing on all cylinders recently (although the Cup distraction and Lallana's absence may have played their part). Recent poor results : Losing to Tranmere Drawing with Notts County Drawing with Hartlepool Drawing with Peterborough (would probably have taken a draw before the game, but surrendering a two goal lead - twice - does make it seem like a poor result). Converting two of those draws in to wins (Posh & County) would have made quite a difference (2 pts behind 2nd place with 3 games in hand!!!). I'm not up for wrist slashing and we're still in the box seat with games in hand, but it's the manner of our performances as much as our results that have got me a tad jittery. Even the two games we have won recently (Exeter & Carlisle) have been rather unconvincing. We just need to recover the late December/early January form and get on a roll.
Leicestersaint Posted 26 February, 2011 Posted 26 February, 2011 "recent poor results"? One defeat in what...11 games? I still haven't recovered from the Brentford result. What a shocker.
Appy Posted 26 February, 2011 Posted 26 February, 2011 Yes, yes it was. No, no it wasn't Defensively not great, but attcking was superb, so that is not a poor performance.
hypochondriac Posted 26 February, 2011 Posted 26 February, 2011 You also said poor results. Tranmere was both a poor result and poor performance, but it is nonetheless a fact that we have had only ONE defeat in 11. Why always search for the cloud rather than the silver lining? Because we are tenth in the form table. By any stretch that is poor form.
saint lard Posted 26 February, 2011 Posted 26 February, 2011 Some seem to think we are losing most weeks. Let's get our games in hand out of the way first before being a defeatist Lets get some points in the bag before looking at the realistic proposition of automatic promotion (2nd place),which should have been the minimal expectation Notts County,Tranmere,Peterborough,Hartlepool, poor results and performances combined.Dropped points, simple as.

saint lard Posted 26 February, 2011 Posted 26 February, 2011 (edited) If we get 2nd I will be absolutely delighted I know we have had a bit of a running battle reference our opinoins over Adkins and i of course would be chuffed to gain promotion and get out of this poxy league, but niether Adkins or the squad are living upto the billing we had been given by many on here or the pundits. The failings of other clubs to capitalise is doing more for our promotion hopes than we are ourselves. Edited 26 February, 2011 by saint lard
hypochondriac Posted 26 February, 2011 Posted 26 February, 2011 If we get 2nd I will be absolutely delighted As will I. Doesn't change the fact that it is the minimal requirement for the season.
