ladysaint Posted 24 February, 2011 Posted 24 February, 2011 Just purchased an Ipod touch which I am trying to connect to my wifi at home. I have a netgear WGT624 v3 with no password number on it and when I try to connect to the internet from the Itouch it is asking me for a password. Anyone know how I can find out what this password is, I have looked all over the box and there is no number whatsoever I have tried also looking on the internet without success. Manythanks.
Andy_Porter Posted 24 February, 2011 Posted 24 February, 2011 are you sure you're trying to connect to the correct wireless hub? With an iTouch if there is a list of available connections an unsecured network (one with no password) it might even default to unsecured networks without asking? Got rid of mine a while ago so can't remenber exactly but it shouldn't ask you for a password if there isn't one....
thesaint sfc Posted 25 February, 2011 Posted 25 February, 2011 type in internet explorer 192.168.1.1 - login using administrator as the username and password as the password. Should then find Wireless Security or something along those lines down the left? That might work!
saint_stevo Posted 25 February, 2011 Posted 25 February, 2011 Go into wifi and reset the settings. If it has no security your IPOD touch should see it like that as well
ladysaint Posted 25 February, 2011 Author Posted 25 February, 2011 Thanks everyone I reset the settings and is now connected, you are all so brilliant on here.
ladysaint Posted 25 February, 2011 Author Posted 25 February, 2011 One other thing to view this forum via the iPod touch it says that I have to download an app which will cost me £1.59 is this the only way I can view the forum. Sorry but I am not too technically minded.

The forum has been enabled for taptalk (or whatever it's called), but if you just close that dialogue box you can read the forum find normally.
saint_stevo Posted 26 February, 2011 Posted 26 February, 2011 *cough* iPod Touch, not iTouch. Hence my boldation.
