PhilippineSaint Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 you get much higher doing the Fosbry Flop
kpturner Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 Chapters tests out his new human shaped footy bootI may be biased, but that is rubbish
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 No matter how hard he tries, Chaplow still looks like a leukemia patient.
Miltonaggro Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 Chaplow demonstrates to the rest of the side what a major kick up the a*se looks like!...
Liquidshokk Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 I may be biased, but that is rubbish Thanks... I do agree but was bored and rolled with it
kpturner Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 No matter how hard he tries, Chaplow still looks like a leukemia patient. Infraction!!!
Nexstar Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 No matter how hard he tries, Chaplow still looks like a leukemia patient. Winner of unnecessary comment of the day award.
KK the 2nd Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 I may be biased, but that is rubbish I thought it was quite good; at least compared to the other suggestions ...
Liquidshokk Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 I thought it was quite good; at least compared to the other suggestions ... Thanks
dubai_phil Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 Dear Nigel This is how you deliver a kick up the ass at half time Yours Sincerely Alpine No offence Alps!
trousers Posted 23 February, 2011 Author Posted 23 February, 2011 No offence Alps! Hey, sort your quote tags out mister! ;-)
dubai_phil Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 Hey, sort your quote tags out mister! ;-) Yeah sort of all went a bit Pete Tong there! Still not surprised, been working like a loon last few days
kpturner Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 I thought it was quite good; at least compared to the other suggestions ... You clearly have a very low sense of humour threshold ;-)
Liquidshokk Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 You clearly have a very low sense of humour threshold ;-) Yeah............. cos' "Nuts!" was hilarious ;-)
kpturner Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 Yeah............. cos' "Nuts!" was hilarious ;-)Thanks - too kind.....of course these things do require a bit of subtlety, as opposed to just describing the picture. That is what my 11 year old would do. It is a bit better now it doesn't say "Chapters" although I at first thought this was some obscure reference that only the brightest sparks would pick up on
Liquidshokk Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 Thanks - too kind.....of course these things do require a bit of subtlety, as opposed to just describing the picture. That is what my 11 year old would do. Yeah, cos' thats what I did din't I You know its not really a human shaped boot, right?
kpturner Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 Yeah, cos' thats what I did din't I You know its not really a human shaped boot, right? No no no - you have to write a caption that implies that the player in blue is a human shaped boot without actually saying it. Implying it makes the reader think for a while, then burst out in hysterical laughter when they realise what you are implying. If you just come out and say it then there is no humour.....unless you are under 12. I must send you my "How to write jokes" book.

But with your caption, I saw it, thought about it for a while, and then thought "Thats' sh!t" ;-) I saved you the thinking time of coming to the same conclusion Edited 23 February, 2011 by Liquidshokk
kpturner Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 Oooohhh.. I seeee. But with your caption, I saw it, thought about it for a while, and then thought "Thats' sh!t" ;-) I saved you the thinking time of coming to the same conclusion Ahhh, but the only reason that you thought "Thats' sh!t" is because you haven't actually got the joke. If you had got it, then you would be in stitches. My hilarious caption is really aimed at the more intelligent posters on here - those that don't find it funny are just a bit thick.

Keep convincing yourself of that. I'll rest in the knowledge that it's equally, if not more, sh!t than mine Anyway, let's get back to competition... (Feel free to have another go. You may do better second time around)
kpturner Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 Keep convincing yourself of that. I'll rest in the knowledge that it's equally, if not more, sh!t than mine Is that it then? This banter was more entertaining to me than any of the captions. Let us analyse the "you get much higher doing the Fosbry Flop" suggestion. That actually might be hilarious, but I have to admit that even I am not intelligent enough to understand the subtleties behind it. I am thinking that there is some clever meaning to the misspelling of "Fosbury". Any ideas?

kpturner Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 Anyway, let's get back to competition... (Feel free to have another go. You may do better second time around)OK....I am going to have a think....this one is going to be truly brilliant.
Huffton Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 Chaplow and Liddles hokey cokey routine needed some more work
Liquidshokk Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 OK....I am going to have a think....this one is going to be truly brilliant. OK, I won't hold my breath ;-)
kpturner Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 Anyway, let's get back to competition... (Feel free to have another go. You may do better second time around)OK - here goes: "Chaplow buries one in the bottom (corner)" Well? No? Too obvious? Should I remove the word "corner" perhaps?
Liquidshokk Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 OK - here goes: "Chaplow buries one in the bottom (corner)" Well? No? Too obvious? Should I remove the word "corner" perhaps? It raised the corners of my mouth slightly so in that sense its a 100% improvement. Well done. Yeah, remove corner.. The other posters will know you "implied" corner.... cos thats how jokes work you know...

The other posters will know you "implied" corner.... cos thats how jokes work you know...Yes I know that (obviously - it is my joke rule book after all)....clearly I am trying to cater for the less bright OK - "Chaplow buries one in the bottom" it is then. I will leave the other post unedited so that people can refer back to it if they don't get it.
Liquidshokk Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 "Chaplow kicks up a stink" - This caption was created using rule #3456 from the kpturner joke rule book -

notnowcato Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 Selected Picture Huge Let Down for all Contributors to February Caption Competition. Winky smiley emoticon thingy. What do I win?
trousers Posted 23 February, 2011 Author Posted 23 February, 2011 So you're saying he was trying to kick that blokes elbow? Are you saying I didn't think it through very well, if at all? ;-)

RedFear Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 Chaplow takes Adkins instructions to "get stuck in" a little too literally
John Boy Saint Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 The Hartlepool defence only failed to follow their managers instruction of not letting the ball go through them just the once.
