I caught this too - actually I thought they were quite sad. Three - well I won't dignify them by calling them ageing rockers - three old men trying to be cool.

I saw the Monkees in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire in the Summer of 2006.

Reading about them in the "i" today, they all appear to hate each others guts.

Stephen Stills auditioned unsuccessfully for the Monkees in 1966. He looked a bit too old for the part and had bad hair and teeth (falling out - hair and teeth).
