bridge too far Posted 22 February, 2011 Posted 22 February, 2011 Caught a glimpse of them at the end of The One Show last night. They haven`t particularly well have they?? I caught this too - actually I thought they were quite sad. Three - well I won't dignify them by calling them ageing rockers - three old men trying to be cool. There's old cool, like Mick Jagger (and me ) and there's old uncool, like them.
swannymere Posted 22 February, 2011 Posted 22 February, 2011 Davy Jones used to live near Hambledon, i nearly ran him over when he was walking his dog once.
Al de Man Posted 22 February, 2011 Posted 22 February, 2011 There's old cool, like Mick Jagger (and me ) and there's old uncool, like them. I thought the point of them was they weren't even cool back in their own day?

Scummer Posted 22 February, 2011 Posted 22 February, 2011 I saw the Monkees in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire in the Summer of 2006.
ecuk268 Posted 22 February, 2011 Posted 22 February, 2011 Reading about them in the "i" today, they all appear to hate each others guts.
Hamilton Saint Posted 23 February, 2011 Posted 23 February, 2011 Stephen Stills auditioned unsuccessfully for the Monkees in 1966. He looked a bit too old for the part and had bad hair and teeth (falling out - hair and teeth).
