Pancake Posted 21 February, 2011 Posted 21 February, 2011 Not entirely unexpected. On BBC news ticker and all over twitter.
Pancake Posted 21 February, 2011 Author Posted 21 February, 2011 Actually, GP might just be "postponed"
Pancake Posted 21 February, 2011 Author Posted 21 February, 2011 Nope, GP defo called off entirely. Aus to host opening race of the season now. http://twitter.com/IAA_Bahrain
Lighthouse Posted 21 February, 2011 Posted 21 February, 2011 Just seen this. COULD be put back to the penultimate race of the season, but definitely off as far as the season opener is concerned. Must be annoying for both the fans who were planning to attend, but the political situation is far more important.
Colinjb Posted 21 February, 2011 Posted 21 February, 2011 So, civil unrest has caused one of the worst tracks on the calendar to be removed. Any idea how we can stir up civil unrest in Valencia?

Ah, so you read that thread on planet F1 too then. This is of course all a plot by Robert Kubica to cancel all the races at the start of the season. He's already got rid of Bahrain, but hasn't got the floods in Australia quite right yet.
