The Majestic Channon Posted 19 February, 2011 Posted 19 February, 2011 Anyone seen it? Not been a great fan of modern westerns in the past but this one has good reviews, was thinking of going to see it. is it any good?
LVSaint Posted 20 February, 2011 Posted 20 February, 2011 Yep it's rather good. The performances of the girl and Jeff Bridges are superb. It's a cohen Brothers film and they fail to disappoint although this is quite different from anything they've done before.

Agreed. Amazing dialogue and superbly acted. Enjoyed Kings Speech, but if Bridges hadn't won last year I think there would be a much bigger lobby for him to win this year.
BLINK Posted 21 February, 2011 Posted 21 February, 2011 really good and quite different from other Coen brothers films. Watched Millers Crossing and Barton Fink recently, the more i watch their films the more overrated Fargo seems, Millers Crossing, No country and a Serious Man are modern classics.

Just downloaded it and will be watching later Jack. I shall offer you my considered opinion at some point.
