Saints shirt collectors ?

Just as a heads up, seeing as I bought one of those a couple of months back, there's a postage charge and some random booking fee adding about £20 to the amount you win the auction for - plus they offer you an additional "stick it in a frame" service and an additional "pay more for a certificate of authenticity" EVEN THOUGH it comes with a signed Saints COA as part of the item description - so basically you don't need to pay extra for it (I said no and got the Saints one anyway).

Oh, also the auction isn't like eBay, if you up your bid in the last two minutes it adds another 2 minutes, and then you have to wait until the end of the 2 minutes to find if anyone outbid that, at which point you get another 2 minutes to bid - this goes on until there's no new bid in the last 2 minutes.

You will also want to put all of your information in early, because you have to add it all, name, address, payment details etc before it will let you bid.

If you win it and say "no" to all the extra stuff you get the shirt, a Saints certificate with hologram and unique number to match the one stuck on the inside of the shirt, and a nice black box with shiny red Saints logo on it which pitches up in the post after a couple of weeks.

Also don't forget if you actually want to wear these things they have last year's ridiculous sizing - God knows what the bloke who has JWP's "medium" (i.e. Youth sized) shirt is doing with it...

Finally, that Shane Long shirt is VERY expensive with 9d to go compared to amount the one I got was at that point - the others have gone from between £250 and £450 and mine went up by about 30% of the total value in the last half hour, so the Long shirt is going for at least £450 based on that.

The long shirt isn't even worn. He came on as sub and pretty sure he kept the worn one as the foundation only have 1 not 2 of his.

I won pelle at a good price as it was before it was advertised in the program. Ever since then they have been fetching silly money

The £20 is a con

If you buy from foundation they don't charge this so why should the other crowd.

Can you link me up to the foundation please mate??

The market for those shirts is daft though - there's an unsold Steven Davis signed matchworn home shirt which didn't reach the reserve price (at £120) and then there's the Steven Davis signed yellow away shirt from Newcastle which went for more than any of the other of the same shirts (inc Pelle and Fonte) at £420! :D

There's definitely only one of those available, as a mate of mine's son (who was a ballboy at that Newcastle v Saints game) got one from Davis that night after he hit him with a stray shot in the warm-up

Ah yeah, of course - that's why it's gone for more.

Well they are the rarest ever saints shirt and tbh I want one more than I want a centenary shirt!!

Rarest modern ones for outfielders, yes. FWIW there are probably fewer grey keeper shirts which also weren't on sale, even though they wore them in a couple of other games. I've got one of those, too. :)

The sense in which I mean that the market is "daft" is in relation to the price fluctuations across the squad, but the "only one Steven Davis... shirt" explains why his was the most expensive so far.

PS If you fancy your luck, you can make me an offer for the one I've got (XL, pictured above), but I reckon you'll be better off bidding on what's there compared to how much I'd let it go for!

Well only one available.

As the other was given away to a ballboy they are both going to end up in private hands, so no less rare then any of the others! What a rip off! :p (Still want one.....)

Yeah, but the point is that you may have the chance to bid on a second one of the others (assuming the players haven't kept them), but you can only bid on one of these so it's going to go for more as there's no suggestion that any of the other private owners will put them up for sale.

I am, for the right offer, which will almost certainly be 4 digits and not include a decimal point. ;)

We have a 2014-15 home kit signed by the record-breaking squad. All proceeds are going towards Mary's Meals.

The draw will be held live on video before the Watford match and postage, should there be an overseas winner, is included.

Each £10 donation through the Mary's Meals website puts you in the hat. Double entries after the first 10.

There's a clear picture of the shirt, competition details and entry updates on our SAS Facebook page.

If you're wondering why we've selected Mary's Meals to raise money for, have a look at some of

. MM's also has incredibly low operating costs for a global charity.

Any donations will be greatly appreciated!

Many thanks in advance,

SAS

Did anyone get one? I emailed but when they said they only had large (aka medium in normal sizes) I decided to stick with the signed Fonte one I've got, which I'd have probably sold if the unworn ones were a decent size.

I got one in a large and am quite fat tbh but after a few shed pounds (which I'm working on) it'll fit fine !

The other reason for me not buying (another) one is UEFA's bloody annoying ticketing policy and the absolute pile of poop it is to need to have a pile of cash in your account just in case they decide to grant you the tickets you asked for.

We've applied TWICE, from two different UEFA nations, and I haven't heard anything from either yet. :o

Still awaiting delivery of the yellow shirt, but an interesting bit of trivia from Greg at Saints Foundation. Only 80 or so of them were ever made. The rarest modern Saints shirt there is?

I bet there are fewer of the grey keeper's shirt that goes with it, even though they wore it in more than one match - especially as there are MUVI and veho versions as well as the unsponsored ones I have.

80 is about twice the number I expected them to have made.
