sfc1971 Posted 19 February, 2011 Share Posted 19 February, 2011 How many on here collect SFC shirts how many do you own ? I was bored what with no game today and had a rummage through mine and was quite surprised to find 42 from 1972 up to this year along with flags, ticket stubs and programmes. Makes one wonder how many £££`s are spent supporting our club ??
Colinjb Posted 19 February, 2011 Share Posted 19 February, 2011 I've got a fair collection. Every home shirt from 1991 onwards. (Trying to find ones before that, even on ebay, is almost impossible.) I also have pretty much every away shirt since the end of the last century. All In, including duplicates, I have about 21.
St Chalet Posted 19 February, 2011 Share Posted 19 February, 2011 I do, have back to 1995 having picked up a few on ebay that I missed out on at the time. My mum gave away the junior ones that I had in the 80's. If anyone wants to sell any PM me, must be in good condition. Matthew Le Tissier (The poster not the man) likely has the biggest collection

InvictaSaint Posted 19 February, 2011 Share Posted 19 February, 2011 Sadly, I too have quite a few, including a prototype for an away shirt circa 2006, that never went into production. Also have Marian's Poppy shirt from 05-06.

The9 Posted 19 February, 2011 Share Posted 19 February, 2011 I've got all of them since 1997ish... ...except the yellow flybe shirt from 2006 that we didn't produce for sale (the limited edition Anniversary replica we sold instead was gash), and the current away kit because I refuse to pay £40 for a plain black long sleeved training shirt. In addition to that I've got 2 or 3 of most of the kits since 2004, a UEFA Cup shirt from player stock, the hummel "Denmark" home, the hummel plain striped and white/jade, and most but not all of the kits in between the hummel ones and the end of Pony's reign. sfc1971 Posted 19 February, 2011 Author Share Posted 19 February, 2011 (edited) (the limited edition Anniversary replica we sold instead was gash), I have that one and it is very poor quality, like most of the Lowe own brand stuff was. The new Umbro stuff is very good IMO I hope we stick with them. Edited 19 February, 2011 by sfc1971 ??

The "sort of 1976" look ones with the "S" manufacturer, flybe sponsor, blue collar and single blue stripe down each sleeve ? If you've got one in XL or L I could be interested in taking one off your hands ? I assume you got them from one of the concourse sales, I know a few people picked some up from there even though they didn't properly go on sale ? I am PMable Found a pic : This one ? The9 Posted 20 February, 2011 Share Posted 20 February, 2011 Why do you have duplicates? Probably the same reason as me, when we were flogging them off at the end of the season in the Prem and CCC, they were only £10 and it was worth splashing out for the hell of it. I have 4 or 5 of the sky blue Prem/CCC away shirts, various long and short sleeved, number and numberless combinations. It also happened to be our Saints Internet FC team kit for a while so I bought some backups just in case.

Really wish I'd kept my England Admiral jumper and last match at the Dell ones now. Hm, good point. I had heard we weren't reducing them. Fair enough the charity element, but this is the kind of weird "business interests are behind everything, but secondary when it suits him" thing that I can't reconcile with Cortese. Wring every penny out of everything, except give a load of kit you could sell at half price to fans away for free... And yes, I am aware this isn't remotely close to being anything other than you making a suggestion at this point !
Matthew Le Tissier Posted 21 February, 2011 Share Posted 21 February, 2011 That's bloody madness. Why not give them away to saints fans when they hand in an old saints shirt. And send the old ones to Africa then everyone is happy! Just something cortesi would do to make him look like a nice bloke and not the cock he really is. paulwantsapint Posted 22 February, 2011 Share Posted 22 February, 2011 What would Africa prefer saints shirts or cash from concourse sale? The rumble in the jumble was one of lowes better ideas it sold old stock off cheap ( kids pocket money prices ) It sold new stock as you would end up in megastore with full price stuff

Sociopath Why bring this up in what was until then a mildly interesting thread? As for me, there's a kids size away early Patrick non sponsor lurking in my Dad's loft somewhere. Home and away Pony tick monstrosities in my loft back in London which I've threatened with chucking out on numerous occasions but couldn't seem to do it. And then an unopened anniversary shirt from a few years back which given it's unopened, I can't say one way or the other whether it's shoite or not

Colinjb Posted 22 February, 2011 Share Posted 22 February, 2011 (edited) Why do you have duplicates? I have a few shirts with names/numbers on them (just like the Yohann Folly shirt I pur-chased from you ) and some of the same design that I wear, which do not. I learnt the hard way when I was younger not to wash printed shirts too often. As such I am still looking for a few unprinted shirts to add to my 'wearable' armoury. Incidentally, if through your sources you know of any blank and new versions of the 04-06 sky blue away shirt and 03-05 red sleeved striped home shirt in 'L' I would be extremely interested. Matthew Le Tissier Posted 23 February, 2011 Share Posted 23 February, 2011 to answer the above question Some shirts are match issued and not worn, this may be because the shirt only got as far as being worn whilst warming the bench. You didnt crack up as much as i did when i sold the pulis shirt to a user on this forum for £105 and also the forcast shirt to a spurs fan for £300. Im sure most of you will not know that the shirts used by our players prior to 1995 were all different to the replicas you all own, thats wht they are classed as match issue or worn! not just as they have been used in games but also the fact they have many differences to the replicas. from 2005/6 season when we got relegated from the premier league all the shirts became the same, the players would use the same shirts as that were sold to the public, however thats only with saints but most other bigger clubs still have differences from the replicas and players shirts. Hope this helps.

Cestrian Saint Posted 24 February, 2011 Share Posted 24 February, 2011 (edited) I've got every shirt from '76 onwards except the 3 obvious ones. The 'Air Florida' all red strip only worn once away at Blackburn. The Yellow Hummel 3rd shirt witha white and green trim that was worn at Spurs, QPR and Luton and the White Hummel 3rd shirt with black chevrons on the sleeve that was worn at Liverpool. None of these were ever made available to the public. http://www.kitclassics.co.uk/kits/southampton.png You can see them on this picture. 1980-85 (3). 1987-89 (3). 1989-91 (3).
