Dog Posted 16 February, 2011 Posted 16 February, 2011 http://www.meatvideo.com/ It's enough to make you choke on your bacon & black pudding sandwich.
bridge too far Posted 16 February, 2011 Posted 16 February, 2011 I couldn't watch beyond the first 30 seconds
Pancake Posted 16 February, 2011 Posted 16 February, 2011 Terribly selective footage edited in such a way as to make it look common practice. I say this as someone with a very close friend who run 2 farms, one animal and one crop. There is NO treatment like that of his livestock at all, and a lot of the stuff shown there is outlawed. Of course this kind of thing does happen, especially in "less developed" areas (but also on major farms in too), but it far from the norm.
Liquidshokk Posted 16 February, 2011 Posted 16 February, 2011 Not sure I want to watch it. I don't eat meat and have seen some horrific things online which actuall in part lead me to stop eating it. Strangely compelled to watch it though....... Edit: ok, watched a minute of it.. Enough of that me thinks.... What's with mincing all the chicks whilst alive?! I'd love to find one of those pig abusers... There would be no end to the torture I would rain down on them..........
Smirking_Saint Posted 16 February, 2011 Posted 16 February, 2011 Face it, humans are c*nts. This I couldn't become vegan but i have moved much closer to using the majority of freerange and better treated animal meats. Of course, every now and again i fall foul. The companies and employees of these companies should be strung up.
SO16_Saint Posted 16 February, 2011 Posted 16 February, 2011 Watched a minute 16 seconds. Enough for me
Matthew Le God Posted 16 February, 2011 Posted 16 February, 2011 (edited) Becoming a vegan (as the video wants you to in its message at the end) isn't the answer. Humans are omnivores and there is nothing wrong with us eating meat, we are meant to eat meat. The problem the video really shows is the poor standards and policing of the American food industry. aintforever Posted 16 February, 2011 Posted 16 February, 2011 Becoming a vegan (as the video wants you to in its message at the end) isn't the answer. Humans are omnivores and there is nothing wrong with us eating meat, we are meant to eat meat. The problem the video really shows is the poor standards and policing of the American food industry. It's fine being omnivores, what's ****ed up is how our governments let animals get treated this way in our farms. The video showed extreme cases but even "acceptable" farming practices in this country are disgustingly cruel.
