Anyone got any of these, or any other warm damp sh*t in their house? I've got half a mind to get something like this in my house in the (rather distant) future and I was wondering what they are like in terms of cost and practicality to install and maintain.

P.s. For those of you who like to discuss black Jewish homosexuals adopting transexual disabled babies, I'm sorry to have interrupted your evening.

A friend of mine has one. He is hetrosexual, white and not religious. Great to go in, he loved it. Expensive to install and maintain and not very practical, but great to have in your house.

Never understood the attraction of saunas. Turkish baths on the other hand are fantastic, love them. Expensive to run though if you include the wages of the fat guy in a towel you need to throw cold water at you.

Must be a really fat guy if he has to wear two towels

Nah, I love a good hot Sauna - battling that little voice in your head that is telling you to leave and get some cool air.

On the expense front I got chatting to the maintenance guy at Fleming park once when they used to have a jacuzzi and he described it as "Bug soup".

He told me that being communal and given that not everyone is as fastidious about their hygiene as perhaps they should be, ALL sorts of bugs from ALL parts of your body are washed into the water where they are warmed gently and then pushed into difficult to clean crevices - not to mention people's ear canals.

He also told me that it cost FP as much to keep the tiny 6' by 6' jacuzzi heated and cleaned as the main 25m pool.

I never used it again and when FP refurbished the Sauna area they removed the jacuzzi.

A mate of mine has got a hot tub in his garden, now that is fantastic on a cold winters night with a beer or glass of wine. Got it second hand and cost him about £7k to buy and install, not sure how much running costs are.
