Yorkshire Saint Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 Who's going? Still got my two tickets and was interested if anyone knows how many we originally sold or have sold. It was a cracking night out last year, heres hoping for a similar result.
saintmatt Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 me and my mate are going, bought our tickets (and travel) yesterday - we've been put on coach 1 so not many travel tickets sold so far! id imagine a fair few who bought them first time round'll have to bail now it's on a tues night - ive had to take a day off work!
saint peach Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 I'll be there with the missus. Should be reet good.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 I'll be there, with many other London Saints.
sfc1976 Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 I'm going. The thick end of £200 all in, but sadly got nothing better to do!
Griffo Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 I am. There's 8 of us. All staying in Newcastle Travel Lodge for a night out afterwards too. Looking forward to it, should be around 500-600 up there I reckon.
Colinjb Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 Was going but sadly the re-arrangement makes it impossible. Swapped the tickets for Walsall away instead, a bit closer for a midweek.
Huffton Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 I'm going with my 12 year old nipper. Coach 2. If I park my car at the stadium will I have to pay **** loads to get out or do they lift the barriers for travel club returnees?
ladysaint Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 I am going, went last year on a Tuesday night and they were very pleased to see us, perhaps they dont get that many visiting supporters.
Nexstar Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 I'm going with my 12 year old nipper. Coach 2. If I park my car at the stadium will I have to pay **** loads to get out or do they lift the barriers for travel club returnees? £10
Yorkshire Saint Posted 15 February, 2011 Author Posted 15 February, 2011 it would appear its going to be a cold and lonely evening
Appy Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 Was going until the postponment. My new job means its just too far to travel.
Footballfan Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 (edited) Got 2 tickets for me and my son yesterday sold 500ish, staying overnight in the Hillcarter Hotel so a few beers before and after, where will people drink. Edited 15 February, 2011 by Footballfan add info
Lets B Avenue Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 Two of us driving up and staying in local hotel. Got the Newcastle and Edinburgh ex-pats joining us for a vast quantity of frothy beer in the Causeway.
bowers-sfc Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 I asked when I got my 2 tickets yesterday, and was told about 500.
dune Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 probably. all dependent on whether i can get the day off. Should be ok i'd think.
The Cat Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 Not unless someone is offering a free lift up there! Can't afford Rochdale and Hartlepool 3 days apart.
battlingbob Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 had a great nite last season cant remember the name of the pub we went to near the ground anybody no what its called
Joe Kirkup Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 Staying up at the Hilcarter. Didn't want to miss this one as it will probably ( hopefully) be the last chance to go there as we make our way up through the leagues. Where's everyone drinking?
oldsarum Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 sounds like there are a few of us staying there. 6 of the London Saints party staying there too, others at the Grand and some in B & B's
simo Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 I wish I was I grew up in hartlepool shame this (if all goes to plan) will probably be our last ever league match up there !
Footballfan Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 Could be a good beer up in the Hillcarter Hotel
oldsarum Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 Could be a good beer up in the Hillcarter Hotel we found a pub last year that gave 20 of us a lock in until 2am, hopefully we'll get more of the same next week
Dr Who? Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 I really want to go to this one, but my country manager is over on Monday and Tuesday next week and wants meetings with all of us..... great timing the first time he has been over since August!!
Bourno Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 coach 2 from eastleigh with my 8yr old (it's half term), gotta be in a meeting in London on Wednesaday at 10 - not looking forward to that.
Eric The Red Posted 16 February, 2011 Posted 16 February, 2011 Luckily its half term so my wife and I can go, couldn't make it last year so a new one for us, and we're picking son up from Uni on the way!
silversaint Posted 16 February, 2011 Posted 16 February, 2011 Going up from Leeds, it's grim up north lads, bring your winter warmers.
Papa Shango Posted 16 February, 2011 Posted 16 February, 2011 Yeah. Great turnout last year, hope we will have as many fans this year too.
jim_bergerac Posted 16 February, 2011 Posted 16 February, 2011 I'll be heading down from Fife with three of my Scottish colleagues, who are adopting Saints for the evening. I hope we can put on a show for them. Appreciate a heads up on a decent boozer folks.
Yorkshire Saint Posted 16 February, 2011 Author Posted 16 February, 2011 any news on an agreed ale house yet?
ladysaint Posted 16 February, 2011 Posted 16 February, 2011 This is recommended, but not sure if it is the same one that we used last year, the one last year was full of Hartlepool memorabilia. http://www.jacksonswharfpub.co.uk/
sandwichsaint Posted 16 February, 2011 Posted 16 February, 2011 I'm going with older son, B+B in the town centre, two days biking, lots of beer before the game and a curry afterwards and a bit more beer too - sounds great. Might start in the Hillcarter 5.00-ish?
ladysaint Posted 16 February, 2011 Posted 16 February, 2011 Is that where you will be heading Jan Not sure Pete, I am not leaving until 1.30 ish due to work commitments etc., would like to find the one we went to last year as it was very welcoming.
ladysaint Posted 16 February, 2011 Posted 16 February, 2011 Apparently North East is going to be hit by snow again next week, hopefully it is not going to be cancelled again.
Footballfan Posted 16 February, 2011 Posted 16 February, 2011 I hope to be there some time in the afternoon so will have time to check out the diffrent pubs need a clue to which one you are looking for, otherwise I won't move from the first one I find.
yorkie Posted 17 February, 2011 Posted 17 February, 2011 Did Jackson's Wharf last year for food and then headed to The Causeway for one before the game. A bit of a treck but if you have all afternoon to kill worth while. The Cameron's brew of choice is Strong Arm - and as someone says on the review "the head on the Strong Arm bitter deserves a flake!". The pub is just around the corner from the old brewery (I think it's closed now). The football ground is closer to Jackson's Wharf - and there is plenty of parking, and if you are really desperate for junk food there is a MacDonalds very close by (one of two or three in Hartlepool!
Yorkshire Saint Posted 18 February, 2011 Author Posted 18 February, 2011 Jacksons Wharf seems the best bet ....gets my vote see you there
100%Red&White Posted 18 February, 2011 Posted 18 February, 2011 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2295231,00.html This was 2 days ago and we'd sold 500 - last season we sold 750 in advance and another 100 or so on the night. Should have a good turnout, possibly similar to last years cold midweek trip, particularly if we get a result at Rochdale.
Shroppie Posted 18 February, 2011 Posted 18 February, 2011 I am. Staying near Berwick with Mrs Shroppie and another couple for the week. The lads have been granted an overnight pass so it's a train trip, beer, curry, match, beer ....... :)
