jawillwill Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 Who's goal was better? Delap's goal for Saints v Spurs a few years ago or Rooney's against City?
Badger Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 And lets not forget KK's overhead spectacular against MancU even if it was disallowed. In answer to the original question about the goals scored,Delap had far less space to work in if I remember correctly, but of course its 'king Chav' for Man U so it will be 'the greatest goal ever..' as far as the media are concerned.
Turkish Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 Would Messi cut it for us in League 1? Too lightweight.
sibster Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 This proves that rory is CONSIDERABLY more talented than Rooney!!
Stu Man Do Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 Again another case of big four player being made out to be some demi god whereas if a player from someone like Wigan had scored that it would barely register on the Sky Sports radar! Definately Delaps was better IMO
DrZuess1979 the 2nd Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 Better than rooney But Rooney owed that to the fans lol b0ll0cks All the media are creaming themselves over it saying HES BACK WITH A BANG etc. He did fack all game and the lead up to the goal he cock another pass up.
SNSUN Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 Niemi was the best keeper in the world when he was here. Triple save vs Arsenal made me moist.
Danbert Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 Delaps goal was better. Annoys me how goals by better players are met with such overreaction. Rooney shinned his bicycle kick, seen countless better ones, crouch and gudjohnson especially. If Rooney scored delaps goal it would be played for years. It was a ridiculous goal, never seen a player jump that high and connect with the ball so perfectly. This
paulwantsapint Posted 14 February, 2011 Posted 14 February, 2011 Rooney's wasn't really any better than Lallana against dagenham let alone up there with delap and no where near mlt late 80s early 90s
