Griffo Posted 12 February, 2011 Posted 12 February, 2011 What happened this time? Read the 'New whipping boy' thread.
benjii Posted 12 February, 2011 Author Posted 12 February, 2011 What happened this time? Just divs all around me. "who's that, he's ****" "he's ok for a Sambo"
B Rabbit Posted 12 February, 2011 Posted 12 February, 2011 The Northam is mostly full of people with half a brain cell......
Ponty Posted 12 February, 2011 Posted 12 February, 2011 The Northam is mostly full of people with half a brain cell...... ..... That they pass around between them during the match.
saintscottofthenortham Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 here I am stuck in the Northam with you.
Draino76 Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 here I am stuck in the Northam with you. Hilarious.
La BoIS Saint Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 Supafans strike back. What happened to you pay your money you get to voice your opinion?
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 Just divs all around me. "who's that, he's ****" "he's ok for a Sambo" First comment is fair enough- someone's opinion. Second comment unacceptable and if you heard someone saying that you should have reported him.
dellish Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 First comment is fair enough- someone's opinion. Second comment unacceptable and if you heard someone saying that you should have reported him. why ? ffs .grow up
labibs Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 why ? ffs .grow up Really? You're really asking why someone being overtly racist should have been reported? Then telling them to grow up?
Deppo Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 I think that dellish is saying that when you are a grown up, racism is ok.
Hatch Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 St Marys would be an empty place if the morons didn't go.
rallyboy Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 I heard mildly racist stuff yesterday about Guly, I've questioned people before when I know who has said it, time for people to make a stand and remind the yoof club rejects that you can't get away with it. Report it if it happens at the next home game, shut these idiots up. The Northam isn't full of mongs, it just includes a vocal minority who need educating.
mikee Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 I know what you mean. I am surrounded by morons who seem to be very angry and do not accept footballers making any mistakes! Most seem more interested in being critics than fans. Although it is not restricted to the Northam. You can clearly hear the frustration from all sides of the ground when a mistake or mis-placed pass is made - it is just that the Northam is more audible. Never mind about creating a Kop - how about somewhere that fans with more than one brain cell can go to stand and sing (at proper speed) and support the team?

alpine_saint Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 here I am stuck in the Northam with you. Very good.
Thorpe-le-Saint Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 Bring back block 1, leave the Northam for those in the 16-21 age bracket.
Deppo Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 This is the liberal society you all wanted. You all wanted freedom of speech and then complain when people use that. These people should be applauded for exercising their freedom of speech.
captainchris Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 First comment is fair enough- someone's opinion. Second comment unacceptable and if you heard someone saying that you should have reported him. The last thing we need is the politically correct police at a football match! Football matches are not rallies for the nannie state - they are havens for passion, opinion and humour and in your cases tolerance. I would suggest, if you are very easily offended then it's best to avoid football matches all together and go and find some people to 'report' in some high crime and violence inner city area where it might do some good to society. Alternatively you could try the family section of course !
Jesus Reigned Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 I must have missed the comment where someone asks why the OP didn't offer out the entire Northam stand rather than coming on here and being an internet warrior?
Appy Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 I wonder if the people in the Northam singing about being there every week will be at Rochdale next Saturday.
lordswoodsaints Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 here I am stuck in the Northam with you. If I'm being honest the northam is full of morons who go to football, put on their biggest, hardest, deepest singing voices then toddle of home to the safety of their mums house. Northam ticket = pretend double ard bastard for 2hrs then back to being a mild mannered janitor for a fortnight.
benjii Posted 13 February, 2011 Author Posted 13 February, 2011 I must have missed the comment where someone asks why the OP didn't offer out the entire Northam stand rather than coming on here and being an internet warrior? I did. I said, "come on then ya mugs. Bunch of bottle merchants. Let's ave it." They all jogged on.
Griffo Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 I wonder if the people in the Northam singing about being there every week will be at Rochdale next Saturday. Or Hartlepool. Exactly.
John Boy Saint Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 chapel's the place to be imo It ain't much better in there. What you have is older people moaning, and talking complete and utter cobblers. You also get folks blathering on about nothing to do with the game, Berts Bunion and the like. Then get Their Chaplows and Chamberlains mixed up.
rocknrollman no2 Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 I wonder if the people in the Northam singing about being there every week will be at Rochdale next Saturday. I will!

niceandfriendly Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 I must have missed the comment where someone asks why the OP didn't offer out the entire Northam stand rather than coming on here and being an internet warrior? I guess this mentality sums the thread up nicely. Problem with someone or something? FIGHT!!!!! That'll solve everything.
saintscottofthenortham Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 I wonder if the people in the Northam singing about being there every week will be at Rochdale next Saturday. I do alot of away games, and alot my fellow Northam'ers do too. Just because there are about 20-30 complete invalids dribbling out totally embaressing chants, doesn't mean we are all morons.
Saint_Jonny Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 So the only part of the ground that generates the slightest bit of noise, and as such generates an ok atmosphere, is full of morons who don't know a bloody thing... Buy a ticket for somewhere else next time you retard.
rocknrollman no2 Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 Yes there are some morons in the Northam, but there are also people who would rather moan about the team, than support them all throughout the ground.Im sure some of you do show support,Itchen North being an example, but theres just not enough fans anywhere else in the ground that make enough noise. To all of you on here having a go at the Northam stand,if it wasnt for the noise generated by the Northam,St Marys would sound like a library.
NN2 Saint Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 I'm in block 41 and it was cringeworthy watching people in 42 holding up season tickets etc, you get a decent attendance and that should have generated a better atmosphere rather than a group of our fans singing about another group
saintscottofthenortham Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 I'm in block 41 and it was cringeworthy watching people in 42 holding up season tickets etc, you get a decent attendance and that should have generated a better atmosphere rather than a group of our fans singing about another group The reason ST's were being waved and block 43 was being abused was because they sat down and got their packed lunches out!!! I f*cking kid you not there were Capri-Sun cartons and such all over block 43 after the game and they made no effort at joining in with the atmosphere.
Griffo Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 The reason ST's were being waved and block 43 was being abused was because they sat down and got their packed lunches out!!! I f*cking kid you not there were Capri-Sun cartons and such all over block 43 after the game and they made no effort at joining in with the atmosphere. The bottom half of the stand did, while those of us at the top were joining in and starting songs as normal. Did we need to be abused too? I didn't know that not singing in the Northam means that your own fans are going to abuse others.
Charlie Wayman Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 Some good things about the much maligned Northam lot, they always turn up, always roar their heads off with inane chants like "Red & White" of "Yellow" and never give up encouraging the lads. I'm not sure about the "who-o-o-o-a-a-a Whos that barsteward" bit, but you get the same everywhere else - who'd want to be a goalie at an away match? As an Itchen-er my only complaint is I can't always here what they're singing but without them there'd be no atmosphere.

I have already stated earlier in this thread that I was totally against the abuse being dished out at block 43, but I was just tryinto explain to someone from block 41 why I think it happened. Anyhow Griffo, did you get your crossword finished?

Even still, I hate that chant and I always say "Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh YOUR SH*T! AAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!". I am always on my own though, and the keeper is never fat.

I f*cking kid you not there were Capri-Sun cartons and such all over block 43 after the game and they made no effort at joining in with the atmosphere. Quite right. Should be 5-a-Live only in the Northam.

Thats true, they are all soft in the Northam I sit on my own, 5 empty seats in the Chapel corner all around me cos everyones too scared to come near.
