sammysaint Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 RIP shame was hoping the news i heard that he was in hospital in a stable condition was true and he was going to be ok.
Dimond Geezer Posted 14 February, 2011 Posted 14 February, 2011 Deeply sorry for the young lad re his dad. I was sat in the Chapel stand and say the poor chap being taken to the ambulance. Why was it not possible to take him out to the ambulance by the shortest route, instead of wheeling the poor chap past all those sat in the Kingsland? Could the ambulance not have been driven to a gate in the Kingsland? There is a first aid room in the tunnel in the Kingsland/Itchen corner, also the ambulances are stationed just outside the stadium at this corner. I assume that either they initially took him to the first aid room, or it was deemed easier/quicker to take him out pitch-side, avoiding the incoming crowds, to an ambulance waiting at the tunnel, this would also be easier for the ambulance as it could drive off straight through the industrial estate, rather than driving through crowds to/from the Kinglands entrance. Very sad news. Rip - Condolences to his family
altoniansaints Posted 14 February, 2011 Posted 14 February, 2011 RIP and condolences to his family, sad news.
buctootim Posted 14 February, 2011 Posted 14 February, 2011 Very sad, but he was 84 and died suddenly at the footie. Not a bad way to go.
