shurlock Posted 12 February, 2011 Share Posted 12 February, 2011 N'Gessen. Some of you lot were a disgrace today cheering when he was taken off. He didn't have the best of games but was our best player at Exter midweek. SOme of you should be ashamed of yourselves cheering a new player being substitued, that'll do his confidence the world of good you complete and utter bellends. The lack of footballing knowledge in our fan base never ceases to amaze me. On another note, the resemablance to him and Antonio is uncanny, quick, strong but technically not that great, one because a footballing god when he left the other gets cheered when substituted. whats the difference? Totally agree with the first statement, though I don't see the resemblance with Antonio (and I've been following Leicester's progress).
SparkySaint Posted 12 February, 2011 Share Posted 12 February, 2011 I used to have a season ticket in the Northam, but it's really gone down hill and is now mainly populated with gobby teenagers that think the rule the roost. The last time I sat there was last season on boxing day and I distictly remember some fat kid mouthing off about plastic fans (it was an unusually large attendance) and how they weren't singing. Needless to say I made a point of not singing because there's no way i'm going to be dictated to by a jumped up teen. I now sit in the Kingsland corner and the atmosphere is so much better. A nice mix of supporters and a distinct lack of fat gobby teenagers in jesters hats. I made the same move and its much better. You look around and you can see the s**t dribbling down their chins. Griffo Posted 12 February, 2011 Share Posted 12 February, 2011 (edited) Was ****ing pathetic, and appeared to be the same mongs at the back of block 42 as usual. Spent most of the first half moaning at plastic fans. I was actually on the edge of 42/43 today and after the 'we'll never see you again', I asked the man singing it on the end of block 42 if we'd be seeing him at Rochdale or Carlisle then. His answer was 'no'. Will definitely be staying in the Kingsland North from now on. Edited 12 February, 2011 by Griffo
channonball Posted 12 February, 2011 Share Posted 12 February, 2011 I think the boos were in part a reaction to Atkins previous sub, taking Lambert off when he was clearly offering more than N'Guessan. He could have moved Guly to the wing and brought Barnard on. The jury is still out on both N'Guessan & Forte, because they both look sh*t so far. The9 Posted 12 February, 2011 Share Posted 12 February, 2011 Just for the record, I'd like it confirmed that the back of the Northam 42 ISN'T getting any worse, it was always full of mongs when we were in the Prem as well, my ST in 2001/2 was row EE, about 50% of the people around me were certified tossers. I am now down with the polite people in Block 41 Row S, where we try to sing OWTSGMI slowly and don't join in with the spudulikes on the lamer songs. The funny thing is that most of the people in 43 wouldn't have been at the Man United game anyway as I believe it was only opened up for ticket sales yesterday! Usually sit in 38 but didn't get my ticket until an hour or so before kick off. One of the main ring-leaders in the singing missed the goal and left a couple of minutes before the end. Classic. Maybe Season Tickets should come with a free medal so all of us lowly non-ST holders can bow down to them next time we dare go to a home game...? CHAPEL END CHARLIE Posted 12 February, 2011 Share Posted 12 February, 2011 He looks like a rather average lower league player based only on the scanty evidence of today's performance. Experience shows however that it often takes time for new players to settle in and perform to their true potential so we should reserve judgment for now. As for a small minority of fans ironically cheering his substitution, I neither agree or join in with this but 'You pays your money and you takes your choice' as they say. None of this of course has anything to do with Michail Antonio.

Deppo Posted 12 February, 2011 Share Posted 12 February, 2011 Look, I pay good money to watch Saints play, if I want to lead a chorus of boos from my seat in the Kingsland and threaten those around me to join in then that is my right as a ticket payer. It is bad enough that Cortese charges me 10 quid parking and ticket tax then buys sh*te like N'Cr*ppy whilst keeping his wallet with my money firmly in his pocket. S-Clarke Posted 12 February, 2011 Share Posted 12 February, 2011 Today was the worst thing that could have happened for Dany. I'd be surprised if he ever takes off here as we all want. One thing the Leicester fans made clear to us when we got him is that he's a confidence player, his head dips very quickly when the crowd get on his back and it's hard for him to raise it again. Imagine how the poor fella feels after being cheered off the pitch. Total joke and we may now never get to see the best of him.

Red&White Posted 12 February, 2011 Share Posted 12 February, 2011 Absolutely ridiculous. As you say, the guy was MOTM against Exeter. Sums up some of our fans at the moment, who aren't happy unless we win 5-0 every week. Not the best performance in the world today, but we won and that's all that matters. Notice a few people having a pop at Forte as well who so far has played about 15 minutes in total for the club. Unbelievable. SaintBobby Posted 12 February, 2011 Share Posted 12 February, 2011 Unbelievable to hear cheering at him being subbed. He was dreadful today, with the first touch of a bull elephant, but that ain't the point. Was v surprised he wasn't subbed earlier (did Chaplow pick up a knock...would have thought AL for DN was obvious half-time substitution...or was it to protect Chaplow from suspension). Disgraceful behaviour from our "fans" though. Increasing sense that there is a growing number of utter ***ts in the Northam end.
St Chalet Posted 12 February, 2011 Share Posted 12 February, 2011 Some of our fans really do need their heads looked at. 93rd minute we pass the ball in a triangle between Fonte, Harding and Chamberlain for about a minute. We are 1-0 and have a history of conceding late goals and these players are running the clock down in the middle of the pitch. Behind me come screams to knock it forward and get on with it, one of them even complained when Davis and Butterfield were wasting time in the second half - Unbelievable. dune Posted 12 February, 2011 Share Posted 12 February, 2011 I'm not overly impressed with how the White Witch is portrayed in these films. Surely there are racial overtones in this. Society has moved on since the days when White hetrosexuals were intolerant and i think using the White Witch as symbol of hate, intolerance and dictatorship harks back to a bygone era which should be left there. The whole Chronicls are strongly based on the bible. Lewis was a Christian aswel as an opium addict and he wrote all the books whilst off his head. Jadis from "The Magicians Nephew" became the white witch in the subsequent chronicle "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe". Her character parralels the Devil as Aslan parralels God. I have no issue with how the White Witch is portrayed in the film as this is how Lewis intended, but the "prince Caspian" film really winds me up because the whole crux of this chronicle is Christendom versus Islam. In the film not only are the Telmarines given the wrong swords but they're made out to look like Spanish conquistadors. Both films were rubbish with far too much concentration on battle scenes and not enough content, but Prince Caspian was particlularly bad because of the said innacuracy to the core message. You get the old "this is saints and we're cursed" routine at every game. What b0ll0cks. People need to chill out and let the team get on and do what NA has told them to do. Keep ball is something good teams do so we have got to become good at doing it. Having dickheads in the crowd trying to panic the players because they are big p**fs isn't helpful.
