I know that this is a risky question

but I have to ask. I am maybe risking infractions as you are not supposed to start threads about 1 poster in particular but here goes anyway.

Is "Deppo" really 2 posters not just 1 ? I mean "Deppo" can post very sensible posts then a short time after "Deppo" posts a lot of nonsence.

As this is my 3rd post I am unable to post any replies for another 12 hours or so but of course I can read any from you.

I always post sensible things and I can't really understand what you are trying to say? Are you suggesting that I should take the same approach to every post and thread and can't approach things how I see fit? Interesting perception that you have of me, I'll read back some of my posts and see if I agree. Thanks for the feedback though.

Have you ever seen Deppo and Dune in the same room, at the same time...? :suspicious:

I have, yes. And after a tense interlude of tetchy badinage, they were both bent bandy and at it like CUTLERY! If they weren't the same man before, they most certainly are now.

He just seems to post the same thing:

"This message is hidden because Deppo is on your ignore list.

View Post

Remove user from ignore list"

No offence, but you would have to be a miserable, souless, life-destroying **** to put Deppo on ignore.

So I hope you are joking. In which case, quite drole!

Okay, I will level with you all.

A few months ago, an American gentleman approached me with a suitcase full of cash and a simple idea. To create the first 'super-poster', right here on TSW.

Months of planning went into the plan, as you might well imagine. A large community of IT Technicians, University Professors and International Comedians set up base at Los Alamos, some at gunpoint, to create the 'super-poster.'

Long story short, this is how we ended up with Saint in Paradise. Can't help but think all that money might as well have been p*ssed away, in hindsight.

A few years back I was approached by the same guy with the same idea. We met a few times to discuss and work on the idea/character (although at that time it was called Dopeychio (a combination of Dopey and Pinocchio) , but in the end it just never came to anything. On the one hand I am pleased to see someone else has taken the opportunity and this Deppo thingy has been created, but on the other hand I just keep thinking, that could have been me :(

I can totally understand the original posters questioning though, as most of the time I read Dopeychio's posts (as I still like to refer to him) and I feel warm and fuzzy inside, but occasionally it does seem like the bot has been linked up to a different server and is being controlled by an alternative source (but thankfully this doesn’t happen often).

I work very very hard.

I don't get paid for this, you know.

I don't appreciate criticism unless it is constructive.

The guys at Deppo HQ are getting pretty fed up with all this negative press and are considering pulling the plug on the whole thing.
