View From The Top Posted 3 March, 2011 Posted 3 March, 2011 Absolutely gutted as having just spoken to TO they claim never to have received our application by fax. Had been to 9 away games this season so should have been near the front of the queue. If anyone has 2 tickets they are willing to sell for decent money please let me know asap. I have. One of my oppos has a pair that he can't use My email is terraceclassics@gmail.com Would want paypal, bank transfer or cash by Special Delivery as I'll have to give him the ££ upfront for them.
Andy_Porter Posted 3 March, 2011 Posted 3 March, 2011 I imagine so, as most of our support are probably getting the train down. Great What a massive waste of police resources.

saintscottofthenortham Posted 3 March, 2011 Posted 3 March, 2011 How much were Adult tickets? I have had money debited from 'SOUTHAMPTON FC' but that was about a week ago. I havn't had anything in the post as of yet but am desperately hoping it's for Bompey tickets! Fingers crossed.

tonibell Posted 4 March, 2011 Posted 4 March, 2011 £19 each i think Yes £19 with a £3 booking fee Done on the 1st March (personal l think a few billys liars on here)
LGTL Posted 4 March, 2011 Posted 4 March, 2011 I assume because they are celebrating 100 years, and by the looks of it their original badge was blue. Either that or they are actually morphing into the skates.
dickyhale Posted 4 March, 2011 Posted 4 March, 2011 why are the tickets blue? May be TB is a fraudster (mine 2 are blue). Just look at the Bmouth v Huddersfield ticket and thats RED odd
Nexstar Posted 4 March, 2011 Posted 4 March, 2011 why are the tickets blue? Same reason our away tickets are yellow - to make them obvious
humber Posted 4 March, 2011 Posted 4 March, 2011 Mine and the kids came today. was getting worried only 3 aways registered rest payed on the day.
fish fingers Posted 4 March, 2011 Posted 4 March, 2011 why are the tickets blue? they want to be like the Skates
Dan Posted 4 March, 2011 Posted 4 March, 2011 Wow - what a mong. I'm glad I don't live with an idiot like that. Do people think Bournemouth will be a bubble game and we will spend the whole day getting frog marched around by the police? I reckon so, then put straight back on the train after the game.
bungle Posted 4 March, 2011 Posted 4 March, 2011 they want to be like the Skates Only a skate would know what colour the skate's tickets are. Skate!
CitySaint Posted 5 March, 2011 Posted 5 March, 2011 Do we have a pub decided for the main contingent to gather is as yet?
Saint_Jonny Posted 5 March, 2011 Posted 5 March, 2011 Parents just phoned me up and said if I can get hold of a ticket then they will pay for me to get down to the game travel wise. I said it was hugely unlikely but I'll try. Would love a PM from one of you lot if you have a spare in any part of the ground. The rents' said they'd even fly me down! Mental. Help a desperate, stranded Saints fan!
Andy_Porter Posted 5 March, 2011 Posted 5 March, 2011 I reckon so, then put straight back on the train after the game. But the train station is miles away, won't be easy to do unless they put on buses...
CitySaint Posted 5 March, 2011 Posted 5 March, 2011 But the train station is miles away, won't be easy to do unless they put on buses... Maybe get all Saints fans off at Pokesdown Station, which is much nearer.
Griffo Posted 5 March, 2011 Posted 5 March, 2011 What time train is everyone thinking of? Travelling from London but I think the train goes through Southampton.
humber Posted 5 March, 2011 Posted 5 March, 2011 Do we have a pub decided for the main contingent to gather is as yet? Finns in Ringwood
haddock22 Posted 6 March, 2011 Posted 6 March, 2011 if anyone by a miracle has a spare would love 1 pm or email me jamieuk_1999@hotmail.com
saintscottofthenortham Posted 6 March, 2011 Posted 6 March, 2011 I missed out on tickets due to stupidly applying with people with only 1 away game this season so if there is a spare out there, PM me. I'm willing to pay over the odds if that helps.
LeBenali Posted 6 March, 2011 Posted 6 March, 2011 I believe we've been allocated The Moon in the Square in the town centre (a Wetherspoons). Got security on the door from 9am, and apparantly the only people they're letting in are Saints fans and well known regulars. About a mile from the train station, but in the opposite direction to Dean Court.

Strange, in the centre of all the Saturday shoppers too.
Andy_Porter Posted 6 March, 2011 Posted 6 March, 2011 I think / hope that this will be just like any other away game ... Don't see the need for an allocated pub, police escort etc.
Appy Posted 6 March, 2011 Posted 6 March, 2011 I think / hope that this will be just like any other away game ... Don't see the need for an allocated pub, police escort etc. No chance.
dickyhale Posted 6 March, 2011 Posted 6 March, 2011 I think / hope that this will be just like any other away game ... Don't see the need for an allocated pub, police escort etc. No Chance look at Millwall last season and Bristol Rovers this.....Went on a pub at Bristol and was rounded up and frog marched to the game/ground
Andy_Porter Posted 6 March, 2011 Posted 6 March, 2011 Didn't happen to me at Bristol Rovers this season or any of the four times i've been. Went on the train for all of them. An police operation like the one they had for us at Milwall last season would be a massive waste of money. Where Bournemouth frog marched around at our two home games? I think if they where in any way worried about either fixture they would just stick it on boxing day and it would be far easier to police as there are obviously no trains.

Yes Bournemouth fans were escorted to and from the station and given a designated pub, on both occasions.
tttdcs Posted 6 March, 2011 Posted 6 March, 2011 If anybody with a ticket wants to sell one ? PM me and name your price !
Griffo Posted 6 March, 2011 Posted 6 March, 2011 griffo ill buy em,lol Feel free. I'll sell my ticket to you for 80 quid and you can go with your son instead. Deal?
tonibell Posted 7 March, 2011 Posted 7 March, 2011 (edited) Yes Bournemouth fans were escorted to and from the station and given a designated pub, on both occasions. Yes sure got caught up in the away fans that day and had to sneak away from them up St Marys Street. Andy is being very naive (Bournemouth police on overtime) for sure Edited 7 March, 2011 by tonibell
dickyhale Posted 7 March, 2011 Posted 7 March, 2011 Andy is being very naive (Bournemouth police on overtime) for sure Saw this on sky news this morning http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/UK-News/Police-Overtime-Bill-Hits-38bn-Spending-Figures-Are-Out-Of-Control-According-To-Research/Article/201103115946836?lid=ARTICLE_15946836_PoliceOvertimeBillHits£3.8bn:SpendingFiguresAreOutOfControl,AccordingToResearch&lpos=searchresults
fanimal Posted 7 March, 2011 Author Posted 7 March, 2011 All this has confirmed the point of my original thread, in that Bournemouth have really screwed up the ticket arrangements for this game, and in doing so, compounded their small club mentality. We could have sold 3x our allocation easily, and they could have accomodated 3,360 saints fans by giving us the normal full allocation and the temporary stand end, which by the way was virtually empty on saturday v Oldham. (Attendance 7,075 out of 12,060 capacity). Instead, there will be hundreds of Saints fans (its so close, try the off chance, go down for a few pints, enjoy the crack) seeing if they can get a ticket from the people at that end who are real JCLs; there will be segregation issues, and no doubt fun and games outside before, if not after. Reap what you sow.
Griffo Posted 7 March, 2011 Posted 7 March, 2011 If you don't have a ticket, come down anyway. Try and force your way into the away end. It'll work if there's enough of you doing it.

100%Red&White Posted 7 March, 2011 Posted 7 March, 2011 How have they screwed up? It's a sell-out I guess what he maybe saying is - the tickets went on sale in October and it's only just sold-out a week or so ago (4 months to sell 10k home tickets for their "biggest game of the season"). And as they've given us a paltry allocation (half as many as they gave Brighton) then potentially a lot of ticketless Saints fans may make the trip in hope that their JCLs may cash in. It's hardly proved the hottest-ticket-in-town for many Boscombe residents. I'm aware of a number going down willing to pay above face-value to get in. If not an afternoon down the beach and an icecream.
JackanorySFC Posted 7 March, 2011 Posted 7 March, 2011 What a fantastic idea! No bad can come of this. To be fair it did at Fratton (the first game there after they were promoted), I didn't have a ticket and just bundled my way through and stood on the stairs between blocks. Helped being 30 minutes late and with 500 unhappy punters though....
yamms_schmitz Posted 7 March, 2011 Posted 7 March, 2011 Prepare for 90 minutes of scummer songs. Bompey fans were singing "bring on the scummers" on Saturday. Allocating the moon in the square is crazy. It is in the opposite direction to the ground, from the train and coach station. It would also involve the old bill escorting supporters through town, and then a really long police escort from the pub to the ground. I wouldn't bother. It would take an hour to walk from the pub going at the police pace. Instead get escorted to the ground, then walk over the park into boscombe. There you will find plenty of pubs and eateries.

Wasn't there going to be buses laid on for us though?
alehouseboys Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 Wasn't there going to be buses laid on for us though? I does seem a bit odd they'd try and keep Saints fans in a town centre pub mixing with shoppers and miles from the ground. But if true and they really are laying on buses just watch out in case the OB are pulling that old fartton trick by doing everything to delay fans getting to the ground before kick-off. We had it on the trains down there twice and didn't get in til near halftime. I wouldn't be surprised if it'd take 'longer than expected' to get all the fans on the buses and away and then hit loads of traffic. A pub best avoided IMO.
SaintMilesie Posted 8 March, 2011 Posted 8 March, 2011 I will sell either of my tickets for 80 quid. Looking for one ticket will pay over the odds £40 + Tel me on 07905409763 will collect to Thanks in advance.

saintscottofthenortham Posted 9 March, 2011 Posted 9 March, 2011 I'll pay £60 quid for a ticket. Or... more. PM if you want me to attempt to tempt you.
