The pictures throw in a couple of kids, a woman and a soldier, but when you look at the crowd shots, the demographic is 99%, 25 - 35 year old male (With shaven head to varying degrees).

 

Are they the most vunerable to persuation? The most angry? The least tolerant to foreigners?

 

I don't know the answer to those questions, but any organisation would need a much more diverse membership before they were taken seriously.

And there are most certainly people in the EDL who are non-racist, but the fact of the matter is that the EDL hides (or tries to hide) its racism under a thin gloss of a mission to prevent the 'Islamification of Europe'. In reality, the EDL is just futile vigilante justice - not to mention persecuting an entire religion for no apparent reason. Yes, there are principles in Islam that I don't agree with, and there's no doubt that some of the other principles are seriously misinterpreted by a nutty few who then go and blow themselves up, but that's no reason that innocent families should be persecuted. There was a thread on the EDL about a year ago, maybe longer. There was lots of evidence to confirm that the EDL are intrinsically racist.
