benjii Posted 6 February, 2011 Posted 6 February, 2011 4 goals in 13 league starts for Chappers. Not bad at all. With him regularly getting a goal, with Lambert looking a bit more like himself, with Lallana to come back, with Oxo still here, with Barney and Guly, with N'Guessan and Forte we will score loads for the rest of the season. It is unlikely we will play too many teams with the attacking force of Peterborough and we are going to win plenty of matches. We're going up!
Doctoroncall Posted 6 February, 2011 Posted 6 February, 2011 Indeed, but it's going to be hell of a nail biting ride!
dronskisaint Posted 6 February, 2011 Posted 6 February, 2011 You go on to my sensible posters list.... This is the way it is...we have strength & flair - in depth.

moon monkey Posted 6 February, 2011 Posted 6 February, 2011 Chaplow has been awesome, he gets in to great positions to score. Our striking force is top notch and the defence is reliable (peterborough was a day off). Our problem now is that Brighton, Bournemouth and Huddersfield are getting consistant results. We just gotta hope they hit a bad run
Barry the Badger Posted 6 February, 2011 Posted 6 February, 2011 It's so nice to have a centre midfielder who breaks into the box and gets goals. Feels like it's been ages since we last had that.
lethallee Posted 6 February, 2011 Posted 6 February, 2011 Yeah no excuses if don't get promoted this season.
NorthamSteve Posted 6 February, 2011 Posted 6 February, 2011 Yeah no excuses if don't get promoted this season. That's our biggest problem now. The pressure is on....
Lighthouse Posted 6 February, 2011 Posted 6 February, 2011 We haven't had many central midfielders who get goals in recent years. Think the best was Surman getting about 7 the season we got relegated from the CCC. Chaplow's on his way to topping that.

Finishing above Bournemouth is in our own hands as we still have to play them and Hudd'sfield are only just ahead of us if you award points for games in hand etc. Obviously it will help if they have a slump but we don't need them to. If we average over 2 points a game from now on in we will finish second at least.
david in sweden Posted 6 February, 2011 Posted 6 February, 2011 agree ...and with Chaplow AND Lallana back we will have a powerful midfield again, but Guly must play up front . .. He was lucky not to be red-carded a couple of times and he certainly doesn't seem to fit in midfield (on yesterday's showing)
rooney Posted 7 February, 2011 Posted 7 February, 2011 Interesting to see Chaplow's goal was knocked down for him by Rickie, who is doing this so much more this season, thus giving the others more scoring chances.
