Does anyone know what Mackail - Smith picked up and showed to the Posh fans after their second goal, he picked something up from near our goal and ran off down the pitch showing it to the crowd in the stand ..

Some kind of t-shirt with writing on it. Perhaps it said: "that'll teach 'em not to fork out a measly £1.5m on me"...? ;-)

She is the manager's PA who has not been very well lately.

Sky Sports mentioned this at length in their coverage of Peterborough's match. She was one of the few people on Peterborough's staff that they did not interview. If only posh had won - then their day would have been complete.

That clears that up then .. Have noticed that both guly and butterfield have had things written on ( under)shirts worn in matches at least twice but so far no reveal has happened yet!

We won't need 90 points for second. 85 should be plenty.

Huddersfield came third on 87 in the end, we ended up on 92. Peterborough fourth on 79 but won the playoffs.

Surprised Mackail-Smith didn't get in that team though.

I love the quote on the match day thread how they could see CMS playing in the Prem, proving we can't really predict anything in football.

2011 just called it wants its thread back.....

2011 wants to know how Mackail-Smith never made it above mid-table Championship with Brighton and has now only scored 3 goals all season for Luton in L2. And as for Seaborne... now in a second season at Partick Thistle via free transfers to then-Championship Yeovil and, having been initially loaned to them, to L1 Coventry.

Hmm champions do not let two goal leads slip twice in one game, hang on in there saints you have a slim chance of making it through the play off lottery.

Haha, how's that 'keeping up with us' thing working out for you?

I'm sure I was at this game, was it a midweeker?

Saturday 5th Feb 2011, and judging by the after-7pm start time on the OP, it was an early evening kick-off in the same tv slot as this weekend's match back when (I think) the Football League was the only place you'd see 5pm-ish kick offs on a Saturday evening.

I spent most of the afternoon on a barge turned into a pub not far from the ground.

All I remember of the match was knowing there would be a ton of goals beforehand because of Peterborough's open games, the terrace behind the goal, and thinking the last minute penalty was garbage, but it was a great game to watch even so.

For some context, that season Peterborough

Won games 4-1 (four times), 5-2, 5-4, 4-0, 5-3, 5-0 (twice), 6-0 and 3-0 (four times)

Drew 4-4 and 3-3

Lost games 5-1 (twice), 4-1 (to us) and 6-2.

The 2 things I remember most from this game are:

1. Standing next to a lad at the urinal finding out that Newcastle had come from 4-0 down against Arsenal, little knowing we would also draw 4-4

2. The ref was at my brothers wedding ( I only discovered that in retrospect after watching it on Sky Football Gold) though I did congratulate him

on sending off the Forest lad for the elbow when we won 3-1 @ the City Ground in the Champ promotion season.

From memory, that was the highest scoring day in PL history
