trousers Posted 4 February, 2011 Share Posted 4 February, 2011 (edited) Big and clever....? Or are today's artists simply running out of ideas? Edited 4 February, 2011 by trousers
JonnyLove Posted 4 February, 2011 Share Posted 4 February, 2011 Personally I think their lazy as hell and just can't think about lyrics. But then again the music at the moment is total garbage.
hypochondriac Posted 4 February, 2011 Share Posted 4 February, 2011 When I decide whether I like a song or not, one of the first things I look at is lyrics. It says a lot about whether someone has actually bothered to write a song with meaning or if they have just thrown it together for money. Obviously all words can have a place in songs but using the F word IMO in general display a lack of imagination.

dronskisaint Posted 4 February, 2011 Share Posted 4 February, 2011 Easy get out reason if the song does badly...and a bit of look at me aren't I hard!
SuperMikey Posted 4 February, 2011 Share Posted 4 February, 2011 Not sure it suggests a lack of imagination, more the fact that the music industry is becoming less and less formal. Youthful acts are dominating the charts, and youthful people are buying the chart music. Youths today use the 'F word' because there's not as much of a taboo around it now as there was 20 or 30 years ago. Besides, using the F word every now and then isn't so bad, you should listen to some of Cannibal Corpse's lyrics....whew!
Huntingdon Posted 4 February, 2011 Share Posted 4 February, 2011 It worked a treat for Eamon & the follow up from Frankie I don't think it shocks anymore though
Rut Posted 4 February, 2011 Share Posted 4 February, 2011 Apart from football songs then 'Let's f##### Riot' by Suburban Filth is (I think) the only song ever to mention Totton in it's lyrics. For this reason alone then songs with f### in the title are fine by me.
Deppo Posted 4 February, 2011 Share Posted 4 February, 2011 I agree that songs with "f**k" in the title show no imagination. Songs with "c**t" in the title show much more thought.
saint_bert Posted 4 February, 2011 Share Posted 4 February, 2011 In the words of a song Metallica covered "so F**king what?"
