The Moderate EDL under attack from the Far Right

dune

Recommended Posts

There is nothing to report. I am highlighting how the EDL is not a racist organisation and the fact that racist organisations are against them because they are inclusive and not anti semetic. I think such a moderate organisation should be welcomed because it's about time that patriotism was wrestled away from the far right and this is exactly what the EDL is achieving.

Tonights feature on Newsnight will probaby focus on minority elements, but that shouldn't detract from the good work being done by the vast majority who are peacefully exorcisng their democratic rights.

This is just like when Nick Gr*ffin was on Newsnight saying how he and the BNP couldnt be racist because other more racist groups didnt like him.

Moronic logic.

Do you not think that Saints Fans can make up their own minds on these dickheads. Censorship is for fascists. Your attitude is far more dangerous; why do you not debate?

If you could only bring yourself to read to the end of a two-line post you wouldn't have found the need to respond. I guess you enjoy the EDL's 'banter' though, and hilariously view anyone who objects to such violent behaviour 'a fascist'. You are beyond debate because of your hysterical reach for the 'Nazi' button every time someone says something that actually makes you think about the consequences of your own actions and words.

if the dim guy in the comedy balaclava spent less time fidgeting and pacing about, and more time talking to girls, his lawn would look a lot healthier.

I know that racism and an inability to court the opposite sex tend to go hand in hand, but these little outcasts seem particularly happy to be surrounded by big hunky chaps....was that the original Village People lineup?

Makes you wonder if it isn't more about the fetish outfits, and less about misguided politics peddled to the backward.

Thanks for the link though, very funny!

I never abuse people who have a differing opinion; this is how you debate. You seem blind to the fact that by banning people and political groups you play a very dangerous game and are advocating exactly the same policy of Dictatorships. Everybody should have the right to an opinion, even those idiots at the cenotauph on remembrance day. Only when arguments are in the open can you succesfully counter them. It is called a free society.

So your ignorant name-calling doesn't count as abuse? Who, then, are all these 'facsists', 'Nazis', Big Brothers? Coming onto a thread advertising neo-Nazis, and calling me and others by such names is, as I say, not merely beyond debate; it's beyond contempt.

I am sorry but I did not call you a fascist a nazi or big brother himself, just drawing your attention to how hypocritical your stance was. Trying to explain that the legal mechanisms are in place to address the issues that you worry about. People are capable of making up their own minds without intervention.

LOL at Dune and his ignorance - do you think he realizes that his avatar Alf Garnet and his 'little englander, bigotry' was the butt of the joke? I suspect not if he is comfortable in the company of such racist ignorant small brained morons... or perhaps Rallyboy is spot on with his fetish line? (LOL by the way Rallyboy, top post!) I am glad Baj/Admins kept this thread open as it has allowed us to (sadly) see the true character of some of our posters

What ARE you talking about? None of your three sentences connects to the other. Really - I've tried to make sense of it but have given up.

Why is dunce allowed to continue post his racist agenda on a football fans forum, where he obviously wishes to recruit like minded idiots and incite racial hatred and violence. Has he got something on the Mods? attend the same masonic Lodge? This type of thread is an embarrassment to all decent Saints fans who do not wish our club to be associated with racists.

What nonsense. The EDL are not racist - they are an organisation standing up to the fascist behaviour of Muslim extremists. Why are your beloved far left not standing up to them but marching alongside them?

What good is marching through the streets of Britain with a bunch of thugs though dune? What is it actually going to achieve?

As far as I know, there is nobody on this forum who actually supports the position of Islamic extremists (at least, I hope there isn't) but I fail to see how going on a march alongside a group of people with criminal records for violence is going to make the slightest bit of difference. As I said earlier, the marches (just like the planned marches by Islam4UK etc...) are intended purely for provocation and are totally counter-productive IMO.

So I will ask for a third time...

If the EDL really are a non-racist organisation whose goal is to educate the public about the dangers of radical Islam, what other initiatives do they have in place to convey this education?

The EDL are not racist.

The KKK are just mis-represented.

The NHS was safe under Thatcher.

Doesnt matter how you dress it up,its all the same lies.

i wonder how long stanley will start another thread supporting racist policys or attack the working man,not long i expect sad mam

Don't be like that my illiterate friend.;)

It's topical given the Newsnight feature this evening and the biggest demo yet that will take place in Luton on Saturday. If I hadn't started this thread (which clearly shows how the far right are against the centre ground EDL) someone else would have started one over the coming days.

That first video is hilarious. I love the dramatic music and text, then the cut to... a monotone, thick Brummie stood in a field wearing a balaclava. Briliant.

I also enjoyed the polite applause they gave to the burning of the EDL flag.

Boj is right on this one, there is nothing needed to be said against this. That fella does the job for the anti-fascists.

I will ask it again. Why is this well known racist allowed to incite racial hatred and violence on here?

I will ask you again why the far left march alongside Muslim extremists that display fascist tendencies?

This is not about racial hatred or inciting violence. It is the complete opposite. It's about standing up to the extremists that support acts such as 9/11 and 7/7 and who abuse home coming soldiers.

In the EDL statement issued giving details of the Luton demo it states:

As always there will be a large steward team on duty please respect these stewards they are EDL members just like you. Anyone seen abusing stewards will be removed from the demo and banned from future demo’s

Above all the English Defence League will be attending Luton to hold a peaceful protest anyone causing trouble or making racist remarks will be removed from the demo

He's not clever enough to realise that he alienates more people than he inspires. Let dune continue to do the anti-EDL work for us.

I 100% agree. I welcome the fact that this fascist group are against the EDL because it clearly shows that the EDL are not like them.

Those marching are doing so because they are patriotic. Only in Britain is such pride in ones nation so frowned upon.

Marching is patriotic. Anyone who can't see this must be thick. Walking up and down in a group, in the same direction as the rest of the group, shows that you love your country. It shows that your country is the best and you are proud of it. That's what marching does. You must be stupid if you can't see that is what marching is all about.

Goebbels rose to power in 1933 along with Hitler and the Nazi Party and he was appointed Propaganda Minister. One of his first acts was the burning of books rejected by the Nazis. He exerted totalitarian control over the media, arts and information in Germany. In that position, he perfected the Big Lie technique of propaganda, which is based on the principle that a lie, if audacious enough and repeated enough times, will be believed by the masses.

According to that man, "we should be proud of the British Army". Why should we, without question, "be proud" of the British Army? We can respect what they do, but are we all supposed to be inherently proud of them? Why? If that is the case, then we should all be inherently proud of the British Police Force, the NHS, and all civil servants, just because they do a job serving the country.

Of course we should be proud of people who are prepared to sacrifice their lives for our country.

You should be ashamed of yourself for suggesting otherwise.

You seem to think that pride and respect are the same thing. Silly dune.
