However good he is, AL is wasted on the wing. Would be devastating down the middle.

shurlock Posted 31 January, 2011 Share Posted 31 January, 2011 We've already got enough players like him in my opinion, but good luck to him and hopefully he'll become an asset. Do we? We've been short of pace all season and N'guessan is only a loan. Forte can also play on the left where we've had a problems (punch, mills, holmes). Also means that Lallana can go down the middle where he arguably has the greaest influence.

SuperSAINT Posted 31 January, 2011 Share Posted 31 January, 2011 Good signing, I think. We lack pace, and bodies in the wide areas - This guy fulfills both criteria. Plus we have the fact that Nige knows him well from his time up there. Win-win situation, IMO.

badgerx16 Posted 31 January, 2011 Share Posted 31 January, 2011 There is only one opinion that matters in this transfer, and that is NA's. hypochondriac Posted 31 January, 2011 Share Posted 31 January, 2011 I will reserve proper judgement until he has played a few games. However, going on the majority of the S****horpe fans' comments, my friend's comments who is a scunny fan and the proven quality names that were being talked about, I am a bit underwhelmed (though happy to be proven wrong. Seaborne for instance has been better this year than I thought he would be.) I know I will most likely get shouted down for this but it does appear that funding has if not dried up then certainly been reduced significantly from last year. We do seem to be shopping for bargains somewhat. Nothing wrong with that of course when you get gems like Chaplow but it may give an insight into our future. hypochondriac Posted 31 January, 2011 Share Posted 31 January, 2011 seriously, why do you bother, the club seem to let you down every week....just with nigel adkins being manager fills you with such disapointment.. It's not a view I totally agree with but you would be surprised by the number who think that.

Turkish Posted 31 January, 2011 Share Posted 31 January, 2011 Sounds very similar to Antonio, which will have some creaming themselves. Physically strong and quick but inconsistant and not a great football brain, probably make a great "impact player" at this level and lets hope the "superb coaching and sports science can improve the parts of his game he is lacking in.
