ladysaint Posted 28 January, 2011 Posted 28 January, 2011 Has anyone found any cheap train deals to this one. With the rise in petrol/diesel prices away travel costs are now getting out of my price range.
Griffo Posted 28 January, 2011 Posted 28 January, 2011 (edited) I've found Euston to Manchester Picadilly for 26 quid which isn't too bad really. I know it's **** but National Express is 17 quid (London Victoria to Manchester return) Edited 28 January, 2011 by Griffo
Sour Mash Posted 28 January, 2011 Posted 28 January, 2011 Has anyone found any cheap train deals to this one. With the rise in petrol/diesel prices away travel costs are now getting out of my price range. We booked up a while ago, cheap deals were available from London. Probably a bit late though, but worth a look. Use the Virgin Trains website and look to go to Manc Piccaddily, as Rochdale itself didn't come up with much (only £3.30 on the day extra from Manc to Rochdale). Also worth bearing in mind it is FA Cup 5th round that weekend............................

ladysaint Posted 29 January, 2011 Author Posted 29 January, 2011 jan the cheapest i found this morning is £67!!!!! Gary now driving so think we will be ok for this one now. Travel costs are now spiralling for all games and need to think much further ahead for booking long distance away trips.

Also sets up a midweek visit to lancashire for a repeat of the Oldham match where a few hundred hardy supporters will be treated to a massive 6-0 win to make up for the capitulation at SMS earlier this season.
Bourno Posted 2 February, 2011 Posted 2 February, 2011 Where's the ticket details, getting very close now.
ladysaint Posted 3 February, 2011 Author Posted 3 February, 2011 Where's the ticket details, getting very close now. I was thinking that, perhaps Rochdale were hopeful we were going to beat Man U and they didnt get any tickets printed. Has anyone found an easy way to find ticket details on the OS, they use to link it to the fixture list so for each game you could just click on the link and the details would be available immediately, now I have to really look for them, especially if the fixture was cancelled i.e. Hartlepool cant find any details out for that game at all.
Saint_Jonny Posted 3 February, 2011 Posted 3 February, 2011 i'll be going to this as its not far, surprised the tix arent on sale yet though?
Lets B Avenue Posted 3 February, 2011 Posted 3 February, 2011 Just back from TO. They havent had anything from Rochdale yet. The away stand holds 3500 so there is no need to panic.
Benali Saint Posted 7 February, 2011 Posted 7 February, 2011 Taking their time. Hope they announce the details soon

ladysaint Posted 7 February, 2011 Author Posted 7 February, 2011 I cant find any information on the Rochdale website either about tickets or prices. I did find this and it made me feel quite sad really. http://www.rochdaleafc.co.uk/page/AwayTravel/
Bourno Posted 7 February, 2011 Posted 7 February, 2011 I cant find any information on the Rochdale website either about tickets or prices. I did find this and it made me feel quite sad really. http://www.rochdaleafc.co.uk/page/AwayTravel/ Surely they could have organised a mini bus, or failing that a taxi!!! I find it strange that Rochdale said that Saints hadn't requested the tickets and when I contacted Saints last week they said that Rochdale hadn't sent them any.
ladysaint Posted 7 February, 2011 Author Posted 7 February, 2011 Either Saints were confident that we would still be in the FA Cup or Rochdale cant get enough fans to warrant a game.
rocknrollman no2 Posted 7 February, 2011 Posted 7 February, 2011 Wish Saints would hurry up because i want to go to this game, but as of yet still no news.
ladysaint Posted 8 February, 2011 Author Posted 8 February, 2011 They are now on sale on the OS! Must be me but I cant see anything on the OS about Rochdale tickets.

dickyhale Posted 9 February, 2011 Posted 9 February, 2011 Went down today and purchased an adult and junior for £25.00. This was not available to me online keeped coming up £37.00 plus £3.00 boxing fee...........
The Cat Posted 12 February, 2011 Posted 12 February, 2011 Original 600 tickets all gone for this. Went to the Ticket Office after today's game and they are taking ST numbers and card details and then posting tickets out when the next batch arrive on Monday or Tuesday. Looks like we'll have decent support up there.

Went to the Ticket Office after today's game and they are taking ST numbers and card details and then posting tickets out when the next batch arrive on Monday or Tuesday. dellish Posted 13 February, 2011 Posted 13 February, 2011 looking forward to this ,the pubs near the ground sound good to. i assume you can pay on the day
The Godfather Posted 14 February, 2011 Posted 14 February, 2011 looking forward to this ,the pubs near the ground sound good to. i assume you can pay on the day As it stands we've sold out the initial 600 tickets and the ticket office are waiting for more. Apparently the away end holds 3500, which we won't fill but should take good numbers.
saintwiz Posted 14 February, 2011 Posted 14 February, 2011 more tickets in tommorrow, ring ticket office after 10am.
Saint_Jonny Posted 14 February, 2011 Posted 14 February, 2011 more tickets in tommorrow, ring ticket office after 10am. Yerp was given the same advice earlier. Why we didn't get tickets for this earlier I really don't know, doesnt leave me with long to get them posted out if I get them tomorrow does it? :/
oldsarum Posted 14 February, 2011 Posted 14 February, 2011 Yerp was given the same advice earlier. Why we didn't get tickets for this earlier I really don't know, doesnt leave me with long to get them posted out if I get them tomorrow does it? :/ I was told last week by Sarah in box office it was all down to Rochdale Still you should be able to pay on the day if you need to, and section holds 3,200. Only thing wil be if you have to pay on day is that it won't be recorded against your customer number which could make it more difficult to get Brighton tickets
100%Red&White Posted 14 February, 2011 Posted 14 February, 2011 Still you should be able to pay on the day if you need to, and section holds 3,200. We get the entire end, looks like away fans are spoilt at Rochdale - you get the newest part of their ground with good facilities and it holds 3,644 to be precise. Very generous and should help the visiting support. http://www.rochdaleafc.co.uk/page/SpotlandStadium/0,,10441,00.html
Berkshire Saint Posted 14 February, 2011 Posted 14 February, 2011 Got tickets for this one last week. Looking forward to it, should be a good one!
Hemel Saint Posted 14 February, 2011 Posted 14 February, 2011 COLSLAW will be there too... coming from Hemel/Watford (and also a pick-up near Oxford). Rochdale will be tough... since 10th December they have Played 10.... and Won 7 / Drawn 3!!
Saint_Jonny Posted 15 February, 2011 Posted 15 February, 2011 Tickets now online, just bought mine using the online service. Bring it on!
Kaiser Soze Posted 16 February, 2011 Posted 16 February, 2011 With Crawlay playing United at Old Trafford on Saturday expect the trains from London to be absolutely rammed.
Sour Mash Posted 16 February, 2011 Posted 16 February, 2011 With Crawlay playing United at Old Trafford on Saturday expect the trains from London to be absolutely rammed. True, but hopefully with their game being the late kick off, shouldn't be too bad on the earlier one's we get.
Tokyo-Saint Posted 17 February, 2011 Posted 17 February, 2011 I have a spare Under 16's ticket for £7 if anyone's interested. Unlikely but worth a try.
dickyhale Posted 18 February, 2011 Posted 18 February, 2011 Just went and filled the car up with diesel £68.00 (the wife birthday 5th March she asked me to take her somewere expensive...So the petrol station it is then) We will leave tomorrow 9am to Rochdale another one of the 92 clubs.....COYR

Dr Who? Posted 24 February, 2011 Posted 24 February, 2011 landed on my feet with this one. Trip to Manchester sales meeting on April 13th staying over in Manchester the night before. Hotel and 30p per mile paid for on expenses!! Back of the net!!
Michelle Posted 25 February, 2011 Posted 25 February, 2011 How convenient. I booked April 7th to 13th off work before the date was announced. Happy days.
Dr Who? Posted 25 February, 2011 Posted 25 February, 2011 No matter how convenient and lucky we have been with this one, you just know that Saints will mess it all up!! lol.
rolosfc Posted 2 March, 2011 Posted 2 March, 2011 I couldn't make it before but as it is midweek and in half term I can go up now! Does anyone know if there are still tickets available or can you get them at the ground?
stockportsaint Posted 3 March, 2011 Posted 3 March, 2011 Booked up hotel in Manchester now. Which one? Hope you didn't book into Sacha's "Hotel"

Does anyone know if there are still tickets available or can you get them at the ground? Believe we get around 2800 in our section - can you really see us filling that on a weeknight 240 miles north?
