SuperMikey Posted 27 January, 2011 Share Posted 27 January, 2011 David Willetts, Minister for Universities & Science, is visiting Southampton Uni campus tomorrow and is conducting a Q&A session with students. Any questions you think I should ask? I'm sure there will be lots about student fees, university funding, spending cuts etc. but if there are any other topics which you think should be raised I will put a question forward. dune Posted 27 January, 2011 Share Posted 27 January, 2011 You're at Uni. You should be more concerned about going to the pub.
Johnny Bognor Posted 27 January, 2011 Share Posted 27 January, 2011 Judging by the graduate unemployment thread, you might want to start job hunting now.
benjii Posted 27 January, 2011 Share Posted 27 January, 2011 No doubt this event will be dominated by gob****e NUS fools who want to bang on about Palestine or Iraq. Maybe. Ask him if William Hague is a batty.

dune Posted 27 January, 2011 Share Posted 27 January, 2011 Ask him to explain why Socialism is a philosophy of failure, a creed of ignorance, and a gospel or envy, with its inherent virtue being the equal sharing of misery.
teamsaint Posted 27 January, 2011 Share Posted 27 January, 2011 ask him about why they are effectively privatising the NHS, and if he is happy that large chunks of NHS budget will end up in the pockets of U S healthcares companies. Thought no doubt his answer to the second part will be ... " Yes".
dune Posted 27 January, 2011 Share Posted 27 January, 2011 Ask him: What is your view of Milliband and Balls?
Deppo Posted 27 January, 2011 Share Posted 27 January, 2011 dune, what is your view of Balls? Are you scared of Balls? If there was a fight, do you think you could handle Balls? Would you go all weak and run if Balls was up in your face or would you stand up and give Balls a deserved licking? I reckon you'd run away from Balls because you're scared. SuperMikey Posted 28 January, 2011 Author Share Posted 28 January, 2011 Not a very eventful afternoon tbh. He came down, opened a new building, announced some funding for research, answered a few questions and f*cked off.
