scotty Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Good. I may be a Tory but I never liked him. I wonder why?
trousers Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Blimey. The Tories will be catching up with labour at this rate! ;-)
dune Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 I wonder why? Because he was a trouble maker in the Conservative Party.
scotty Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Because he was a trouble maker in the Conservative Party. Be fair though, he had a natural sense of rhythm.
Window Cleaner Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 The French have just finished a campaign to collect unpaid or underpaid taxes and repatriate capital illegally held in offshore accounts. Managed to collect a billion in taxes and penalties from about 4000 offenders and have 7 billion repatriated by compulsion. 11K£ seems a drop in the ocean really, even though it was the result of a swindle.
Clapham Saint Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 The amount of the "swindle" is irrelevant. It was a swindle and he deserves everything he gets.
Johnny Bognor Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Yes he was a tory, but just to stir things up he is a University Chancellor and (Verbal will like this) he was involved in the film industry.

GenevaSaint Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 I hope he gets the book thrown at him, at least the two (?) others found guilty so far have admitted their crime, this fella carried on denying it. I don't usually buy into "remorse" getting you a shorter sentence, but the stretch should be increased here as he was obviously guilty and continued to take the ****,.

dune Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Yes he was a tory, but just to stir things up he is a University Chancellor and (Verbal will like this) he was involved in the film industry. Was he once president of a students union?
