Saint Garrett Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2275421,00.html Would be good to get the whole stadium red and white on TV.
hypochondriac Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Will face painting be available at the ground?
dubai_phil Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Will The Echo be giving away free Jesters Hats?
RedAndWhite91 Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 I'm not going to start wearing colours just because we're playing Man Utd.
ottery st mary Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Will The Echo be giving away free Jesters Hats? Free instructions on how to up load Wikipedia..........in red and white.
Saint_clark Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Most people will be wearing their colours...but under their coats. It's too cold.
hypochondriac Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Most people will be wearing their colours...but under their coats. It's too cold. I don't own any 'colours' (cringeworthy word.) I will be wearing a black jumper under my coat.
Saint_clark Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 I don't own any 'colours' (cringeworthy word.) I will be wearing a black jumper under my coat. You're so much cooler than me and the millions of people in England who wear replica shirts.
Minty Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 I always enjoy when this kind of thread comes around again. And again. And again and again and again. It's refreshing to hear the same, fixed opinions on the subject, repeated for the benefit of those who've forgotten who does and who doesn't.
Colinjb Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 I have no problem wearing my replica shirt. The other guests at the wedding reception in york may find it a little odd though.
Saint_Jonny Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 I'm watching the game in a pub in Manchester. Obviously I'll be wearing the shirt, and it will be on show. What could go wrong?
Colinjb Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 I'm watching the game in a pub in Manchester. Obviously I'll be wearing the shirt, and it will be on show. What could go wrong? You'll be in a Man Citeh pub? Right?
Colbury Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Cringe. When will people learn that those who want to wear colours will, those who don't won't. Nobody is any less of a fan for doing either - so why the pointless rallying calls just because it's United? Embarrassing.
saintscottofthenortham Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 I'll be wearing my rockports, Levi's, Fred Perry jumper and my Burberry Coat so no room to wear my colours. The Manc's will be able to tell I'm Saints though because of the 'S F C' spread across my fist.

Saint_Jonny Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 You'll be in a Man Citeh pub? Right? No idea. Will get off the train and head for the pub with the biggest TV.
Griffo Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 How cringeworthy. I can't wait for the team to come out to a sea of red and white balloons and face painted families.
forever a red and white Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 People need to chill. The article is probably aimed at younger fans who get a buzz from wearing replcia kit and stuff. Its also just another bit of marketing. Good opportunity to make some extra £. This is an arguement fans need to get over.
The9 Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 It'll be nice to have Block 43 look full on the telly for once.
ottery st mary Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 I will be there in the Chapel, with sons, daughters, grandchildren, Aunts and Uncles all in our colours.....Soppy lot.. The ruffians amongst my family will be in the Northam...Hard Barstewards.....Still in their pink and white attire....sorry, meant red..
Spudders Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 I don't own any 'colours' (cringeworthy word.) I will be wearing a black jumper under my coat. Please can you confrim what colour you coat is? Also will you be wearing a t-shirt or smart shirt under it? Will you be colour co-ordinating your shoes with the jumper? Thanks in advance!
hypochondriac Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 You're so much cooler than me and the millions of people in England who wear replica shirts. I just object to the use of the word 'colours.' Up to you what you wear at the football but call it a replica shirt. They are also inviting us to 'march with them.' Makes me cringe.

La BoIS Saint Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 I just object to the use of the word 'colours.' Up to you what you wear at the football but call it a replica shirt. They are also inviting us to 'march with them.' Makes me cringe. Haven't had a decent march since the L*** days. Should be fun!
Spudders Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Most likely a tshirt with brown shoes. Thanks for the interest Brown and Black together, crikey Hypo!!! ......... lucky for you that the football crowd are a scruffy bunch generally, so you'll no doubt still look smarter than the average cat. However any fashion aficionados out there will have you believe that Brown and Black together are a bit of a no-no! I may wear my Scooby-doo costume Saturday (which thinking about it is also Brown & Black), if Scooby can pull off that colour combo than I’m sure you can too!
BLINK Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 I don't own any 'colours' (cringeworthy word.) I will be wearing a black jumper under my coat. err yes you do.
The9 Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Really though, does anyone "own" a colour ? It's just the visual perceptual property corresponding in humans to a variety of arbitrarily-named categories ? As colour derives from the spectrum of light interacting in the eye with the spectral sensitivities of the light receptors, surely it doesn't have any physical properties to facilitate ownership ? Can you buy or sell "colour" ? How do you quantify its value ? Here endeth a load of cobblers.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 I don't own any 'colours' (cringeworthy word.) I will be wearing a black jumper under my coat. Can't show off your Stone Island jackets otherwise...
hypochondriac Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Can't show off your Stone Island jackets otherwise... The picture you must have of me in your head is very amusing.
COMEONYOUREDS Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 The picture you must have of me in your head is very amusing. certainly more amusing than the real you

hypochondriac Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 certainly more amusing than the real you You don't know the real me so that comment is very strange.
Toadhall Saint Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 I'm not going to start wearing colours just because we're playing Man Utd. This.
hypochondriac Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 I think people misunderstand me. I'm not having a go at people who choose to wear replica kits, I'm laughing at the cringeworthy article on the OS about the colours and marching.
Golden Balls Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Cringe. When will people learn that those who want to wear colours will, those who don't won't. Nobody is any less of a fan for doing either - so why the pointless rallying calls just because it's United? Embarrassing. To make a few extra £££. They couldn't care less what people actually wear. Chill
hypochondriac Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 To make a few extra £££. They couldn't care less what people actually wear. Chill Makes us look like a smalltime club. We should just treat it like any other game.
Saints foreva Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Hopefully none of our fans go like this woman did against Pompey last season:
latter day saint Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 my son is dying of laughter after seeing that! ^^^^
Griffo Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Hopefully none of our fans go like this woman did against Pompey last season: I hope they don't go like any of the 3 in that picture! Or the girl/Justin Bieber bottom right.
Colinjb Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Hopefully none of our fans go like this woman did against Pompey last season: Dear god. That's a woman!?
Thedelldays Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Makes us look like a smalltime club. We should just treat it like any other game. we are in division 3 ffs
suewhistle Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Don't be nasty. Just because she's having to wear a men's fat bastard size replica shirt - and they always keep plenty of those in stock... Anyway, it's on Sky3 here in Italy. Not sure if I'll go to the sports bar in a replica shirt - it's not really my style, although I do use them for training. Better not, just in case we win and then I'd always have to wear the lucky shirt.;-)
shurlock Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 hypo and his manc w @nk - known for his gushing praise of mancunian casuals who are the beating heart of the game. presumably he thinks we should all dress like this:
