red&white56 Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Just looked and there's no picture nor any mention of Saints - total media specualtion!
Thedelldays Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 and people wonder why the chairman has no time for this lot (generally)

for_heaven's_Saint Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Hopefully this means that if I change the Daily Echo's Wikipedia page so that it says they shut down in January 2011 they'll just stop writing.
The9 Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 To be fair, they're only reporting the fact that someone's edited Wikipedia, which is true. I'm sure the Echo are more than aware that it doesn't actually mean anything, but it's a snippet of fresh info on a so-far-nothing of a story.
hypochondriac Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Who cares? Some really sad people on here with a grudge against the Echo. Let it go FFS.
Saint_clark Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Who cares? Some really sad people on here with a grudge against the Echo. Let it go FFS. You have to admit, it is very funny that they are using wikipedia as a source.

It's a stupid thing to do yes and in isolation it's fine to poke fun. It's the same old people with this anti-echo agenda I find tiresome. OK so some (not all) don't like the Echo, we get it. No one is forcing you to read or buy it.

I don't need to it gets quoted on here often enough. However I think Q.E.D. Springs to mind.
simo Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 If the echo is so pro saints then why do they have a headline saying "sell alex now!" Wtf ! **** off echo !

hasper57saint Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 My S-I-L is an STH at Posh and will update me ASAP, as he has heard there is a 'link' with C.M-S and Saints but at present no substance. He went to the game on Saturday and said "At last we are playing football. The game with you (Saints) will be no walkover so expect a toughie this time." I'll be in the opposite end to him with my nipper, grandsons and Daughter. It'll be quite an interesting evening in his house after the match!

Matthew Le God Posted 25 January, 2011 Posted 25 January, 2011 Dan Keirns offered me a tour of Echo offices to show me my view of how the Echo creates stories. I think using Wikipedia (which can be edited by anyone in the world) as the basis for an entire story backs up my original view. The standards on University journalism courses must be declining rapidly.
