Chez Posted 28 January, 2011 Posted 28 January, 2011 With regards CMS I understand that we have MADE A BID of 1,000,000 . I know my source has close links with club, but this is first time he has given me info. so I dont know how reliable it is. having turned down a £1.5m bid from Hull already, we seem to have come up short by at least half a million, if not more.
landford.saint Posted 28 January, 2011 Posted 28 January, 2011 having turned down a £1.5m bid from Hull already, we seem to have come up short by at least half a million, if not more. But surely playing for saints and live in this Beautiful area has got to be worth more than 500,000 than playing and living in Hull.

Big Bad Bob Posted 28 January, 2011 Posted 28 January, 2011 He might think that, but his club won't give a monkeys. He could just refuse to agree terms with the other clubs......
buctootim Posted 28 January, 2011 Posted 28 January, 2011 He could just refuse to agree terms with the other clubs...... Yes but his club will have a value they put on him, like Saints and AOC. Stump up the cash or bog off - which is fair enough really.

Pish tush, why let realism get in the way? Anyways if he wants away and starts doing a Puncheon then the club will eventually have to sell him...
The Godfather Posted 28 January, 2011 Posted 28 January, 2011 having turned down a £1.5m bid from Hull already, we seem to have come up short by at least half a million, if not more. Alot bids depend on how much money was actually offered up front, rather than a small immediate payment then rest with add-ons.
Saint Charlie Posted 28 January, 2011 Posted 28 January, 2011 Pboro have a game tonight, away to Colchester. If Mackail-Smith plays it would be fair to say we are a fair bit away for any deal for him.

trousers Posted 28 January, 2011 Posted 28 January, 2011 So....one down (and out).....one to go.....?
thorpie the sinner Posted 28 January, 2011 Posted 28 January, 2011 It would be just like saints to annoy everyone and then pull a rabbit out of the bag!!! I said IT WOULD BE JUST LIKE SAINTS TO ANNOY EVERYONE AND THEN PULL A RABBIT OUT OF THE BAG!! If that doesn't work, nothing will!

daren1977 Posted 28 January, 2011 Posted 28 January, 2011 He is in the Starting Line Up for Posh tonight - against Colchester
Saint Charlie Posted 28 January, 2011 Posted 28 January, 2011 He is in the Starting Line Up for Posh tonight - against Colchester Wonder if we will have a Scout there, or if we are actually interested.
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 28 January, 2011 Posted 28 January, 2011 Hasn't scored yet. Knock a few quid off, NC!
NickG Posted 28 January, 2011 Posted 28 January, 2011 just missed infront of goal and then been caught off-side. Not good enough for us. (it is ok to judge a player by bbc text updates isn't it?)

Quickfire Double Posted 28 January, 2011 Posted 28 January, 2011 just missed infront of goal and then been caught off-side. Not good enough for us. Mackail-Smith OUT FFS!!
dubai_phil Posted 28 January, 2011 Posted 28 January, 2011 just missed infront of goal and then been caught off-side. Not good enough for us. (it is ok to judge a player by bbc text updates isn't it?) Why on earth shouldn't you. After all, half the wrist slitters on here do it every week
S-Clarke Posted 28 January, 2011 Posted 28 January, 2011 If it stays at 1-1 that's a great result for us.
trousers Posted 28 January, 2011 Posted 28 January, 2011 Could be a pivotal result - CMS will see himself in a team going nowhere fast and now watch Saints tomorrow giving Man Utd a decent game (in theory). His head will be turned so snap him up Mr Cortese.
NickG Posted 28 January, 2011 Posted 28 January, 2011 sounds busy http://www.theposh.com/page/MatchReport/0,,10427~53390,00.html?
Turkish Posted 29 January, 2011 Posted 29 January, 2011 just missed infront of goal and then been caught off-side. Not good enough for us. (it is ok to judge a player by bbc text updates isn't it?) Yeah no problem, it's what certain vociferious posters on here base our players on and they are never wrong.
del boy Posted 29 January, 2011 Posted 29 January, 2011 He is in the Starting Line Up for Posh tonight - against Colchester That seals it then - confirms the rumour. Why would he start for Posh unless he knew.... (complete as required to support completely groundless speculation)
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 29 January, 2011 Posted 29 January, 2011 Question is, did he tearfully throw his shirt to the crowd and then clap all 4 sections of the ground before he left the pitch at the end of the game?
Clifford Nelson Posted 29 January, 2011 Posted 29 January, 2011 NA suddenly pops up on the OS with a story about how he has been chasing N'Guessando for two years. This turns up several days after we signed him on loan with no celebration whatsoever. Looks to me like PR a job of trying to make it sound that we have landed our catch, when in fact we haven't. I'd be surprised if something suddenly changes on monday.

I'd be surprised if something suddenly changes on monday. I have to agree, making it sound as though that's our only bit of business. Which, although at first seems a little disappointing, I guess we still have Lallana, Puncheon, Chambo and N'Guessan on the wings. The loan window is still open for a few more weeks I think i'm right in saying?

NA may well have been after N'Guessan for a while, nothing strange about that.
Appy Posted 29 January, 2011 Posted 29 January, 2011 Question is' date=' did he tearfully throw his shirt to the crowd and then clap all 4 sections of the ground before he left the pitch at the end of the game?[/quote'] I doubt it, they were away.

But he does appear to be putting it across that he is our only "Major" signing of the transfer window If so, it's not exactly earth shattering is it
S-Clarke Posted 29 January, 2011 Posted 29 January, 2011 But he does appear to be putting it across that he is our only "Major" signing of the transfer window If so, it's not exactly earth shattering is it Spoilt, ungrateful and greedy spring to mind.
