I'm not being negative, ...but looking at the fixture list some of the higher placed teams have TWO games by next weekend and need only a few points to equal /go ahead of us in the table, whilst we have the diversion of playing Man.Utd. in the FA Cup. Of course - we can claim that we will have those league games in hand , but at present we have played 3 games more at home than away, so we must win 2 of 3 away games at least. Should be an interesting fortnight.

It's still in our own hands Technically thats not correct, Peterborough have a game in hand on us and can go ahead with that game. But we still have to play them and so as long as we beat them it is still in our hands. That could change on Friday if they don't beat Colchester of course.

The game against Exeter will be very, very tough indeed. St James' Park is a small, dilapidated ground and mentally it will be hard for our players to get over the high of playing Man U at home and then having to travel down there mid-week, whatever the result. Whether we have a strong enough squad is wholly irrelevant - I personally believe we do, but this game will be hard.

It could happen, now they have signed BWP they have a significant depth up front, something we can only dream of, if only we'd signed him, Mackill-Smith and Austin, we'd only be two players short of having enough cover up front.

A win or a draw and you could bemoan our extra game (s) and the impact on promotion chances and the risk of injuries, get "thumped" as you put it and you could complain about the impact on moral as according to you if that happened we would lose our next two games and you could also complain about the weakness of our squad. However an unlucky loss and a good performance is In many ways this is probably the worst result you could ask for,we played really well and matched if not better than Man U, unlucky to lose and came through it with no injuries. It shows we have a decent team and squad, and i for one am bloody proud of our performance today, it's diffcult to find a negative, although i am sure you will.
