Is it not about time for a club owner to let a player like this rot in the reserves for the rest of his contract ?

I know the club would make no money from him when his contract finished but it would send a message to these overpaid prima donnas that they do not own or run our clubs.

You are under contract, so play to the best of your ability and train as a professional or play with the trainees.

If you fail to turn up to training we will fine you.

If this happened it would make my day.

Players like this, and he is not the only one, p*ss me off.

They should loan him to McDonalds as a toilet cleaner until such a time that he decides to grow up and realise he has the best job in the world

Winston Bogarde at Chelsea however it seemed to suit him fine.

I think it should be in the contract that if they refuse to play, they have to turn up at Asda on Sunday morning and do a shift pushing trollies in the car park.

Forget about Punch he didn't cost us the three points today the guys that were on the pitch did. As for Adkins post match comments about how bad we were...............Come on Nigel the buck stops with you, If our mentality,Game plan, commitment etc were not right then that is the fault of the management team. If one or two players have a off day yes it happens, but the whole team playing poorly and not being up for it as much as the opposition says to me they were not prepared properly.

Nige' date=' what I want you to say is: "sorry, that was ****, I'm going to spend like a c**t to replace some of the underachievers". HTH.[/quote']

yes lets by the Tranmere team they're sh it hot.

What's with the whole spend spend spend mentality. We have good players they've proved that when they're on their game they can rip teams in this divison apart. What they need though to go up is to be on their game week in and week out (or near as damn it) and thats down to the manager to sort out not a cheque book.

whatever happened to personal responsibility and accountability. Blaming the manager (or anyone else) is the big problem we have in football (andin the world). If the whole team of "PROFESSIONAL sportsmen" are unable to "individually" prepare themselves to do THEIR job then THEY need to have a close look at themselves.

The manager/coach's role is essentially "to provid ethe environment for the players to prosper from". i.e. Organise their training, keep it fresh, give them the tools to prepare themselves (by themselves as well as as a group), do the homework on the opposition, talk them through the expectations of the day etc etc etc.

After that the actions of the individual is down to them.

Im surprised that with all the sackings of managers over the years and therefore the "person liable" that no footballer has ever sued one of them for ruining his career if he felt that the manager hadnt provided him with the right tools, coaching and support he required to do his job!!

You blame NA but not the players because you think they all had an off day - I dont think they all had an off day otherwise we would have got thrashed - so if they can have an off day why cant NA.....who knows whats going on in his life!!

when you have a "bad day at the office" do you put in a complaint to your boss because it must be his/her fault?!!
