Tranmere V Saints Match Thread

Sounds like Lambert's had a 'mare in front of goal again. If only he'd had his finishing boots on this season... we'd be talking about nowt but the Championship already.

(Obviously Lambert's finishing is somehow related to Lallana's absence, Adkins' tactics, or poor pitches in t'north.)

Isn't this the kind of game Adkins wins - whereas only Pardew would lose at Tranmere... oh...

You make the point very well.

You do now know you will be castigated for implying, like myself, that Adkins is not the faultless aquisition many think he is.

And using his name in the same sentance as Pardews is almost a hanging offence.

I really don't see why people are having a go at Alps, he has a point. OK we may not be fragile, but we are inconsistant. How can we go away to a form side and stuff them for six and then struggle to get anything out of this game? Personally I never expected us to get promoted this season (and still don't), but I really don't see why people are giving Alps a hard time right now.

Still a week and a half of the transfer window to go, and then the loan window. If anything, defeat here is a good thing, it shows Adkins and Cortese that we're still weak creatively without Punch and Lallana and have time to do something about it.

Fifteen minutes to go, I'll take a draw....
