A full head of (fake) hair: Councillor Bill Blenkinsop

 

Here’s one you may have missed. Great Aycliffe council, in County Durham, wasted £50,000 of taxpayers’ money on a 16-month legal squabble over a chair.

 

The ‘who sits where’ dispute involved Lib Dem councillor Billy Blenkinsop and Labour’s Dorothy Bowman. How the hell did this pathetic playground scrap end up in front of a tribunal, consuming so much time and money?

Then I saw a photograph of Councillor Blenkinsop. It’s one of the most hilarious syrups I’ve ever seen. (Syrup of figs, madam.)

Clearly, a man who is prepared to leave the house in such an absurd toupee has no sense of the ridiculous.
