I used to quite like EofA's posts - now tell me you're just joining in with the tongue-in-cheek sarcy stuff and you don't really mean it - do ya?

Anyway, United will make lots of noise and most Saints fans will just stand there in eyes wide open, jaw dropping admiration. Suggestion, when they get their songs going, whistle, jeer and then start singing loud. and keep it going.

Don't abandon me - i'll give you a years free membership of The EoA Fan Club!!

I was dredging through my beer addled memory bank of old songs that were unique to us and not copies of others and that was all I could come up with - actually it was fun singing it back in the day to be honest.

End of the day lets face it we will be out sung (with The Northam handed over to them) unless the whole ground get rocking.

agreed, it just droans and droans on

That's why we should sing it more for Lallana. I couldn't figure out why they were singing it for a player who left but the actual words were "get him on a plane, bring him back from Spain viva Ronaldo".

Wonder if we would sing it about a player who in such a way. I very much doubt it.

Back in the 70's when Ossie left and went over to the US we used to sing

My Ossie lies over the ocean, my Ossie lies over the sea

My Ossie lies over the ocean, Bring back my Ossie to me to me bring back etc etc

I feel sorry for Ryan Giggs, 20 loyal and great years for the club, comes on and changes the game for the second time in a week for them, yet the fans still sing about a player who put in a transfer request and left nearly two years ago now. At least when we sing about ex players its paying tribute to loyal servants like Le Tiss, Pahars etc.

Hopefully now we've heard United sing Viva Ronaldo it will get us going with Viva Lallana, like with "Citys/Pompeys going down with the billion/no money in the bank" a couple of years ago.

err, I find it very annoying. I don't think we should sing it for Lallana no matter how good he is for us.

Didn't he hit the bar with a great 25 year shot?

tbh mate I dont remember that much about the game, I was just a schoolboy in the wilton end stood on a box. But what I do remember is the reception he got from our fans, and it wasnt pretty. Cant even remember who we were playing, who was it?

The Munich song...goes something like this

"Too many lived and not enough died in the Munich air disaster"

minor thread update, please restart your computer etc etc,

a few sensitive souls got upset about this post earlier in this thread. I mentioned the song to a mate in liverpool earlier today, (he phoned to say he had watched the game and was absolutely gutted that judas owen scored against us,) and he said yes, we always sing that at them since they came up with the "hillsborough orphans" chant. I havent heard the one he means, but apparently thats a regular chant when man u play the scousers.
