Liquidshokk Posted 20 January, 2011 Author Posted 20 January, 2011 Were either or both of them wearing bibs? Lallana was, not sure about chaplow. Have we decided if this confirms they are playing yet or not??
Minsk Posted 20 January, 2011 Posted 20 January, 2011 Lallana was, not sure about chaplow. Have we decided if this confirms they are playing yet or not?? I think we've concluded that it's either the ones with bibs that are playing, or the ones without bibs are playing, or a mixture of the two. In other words, haven't got a clue mate!
Turkish Posted 21 January, 2011 Posted 21 January, 2011 (edited) I think you will find that although John the Baptist and the virgin Mary are not up to standard as substitute sons of God; they would be far more comfortable in the role in the championship/premier league. They both have talent but maybe lack the muscle needed for the rough 'n tumble of league one deity relations. You are probably right, Whereas Jesus was just a class act, John The Baptist is one of those prophets that would be better prophecying at a higher level, his language and dicition was far to skillful for the lowlights of L1 level disciples, he'd be much better preaching to Emperors and Caeasers in The PL, certainly a wasted talent and will definitely look back on his career with regret that he didn't get more international caps for Israel, prophecying abroad to the Romans like that turn coat the Apostle Paul did. I was never convinced about the virgin Mary though, always felt she was more style over substance. And dont even get me started on Judas, anyone that turns his back on the club which invested so much time and effort into him for an extra 30 pieces of silver a week is just a greedy, money grabbing c*nt. Minsk Posted 21 January, 2011 Posted 21 January, 2011 You are right and wrong, i know for a fact that 11 of the players training today will be in the first XI tomorrow. Don't be so sure....... if we sign Rooney before mid-day today, and Drogba in case he gets injured, and Teves in case he gets injured, and Torres in case he gets injured, maybe one of those will make the starting XI; unless they are all injured of course.
georgeweahscousin Posted 21 January, 2011 Posted 21 January, 2011 The best thing to come from that interview is that we know how much Dean Wilkins enjoys training. Have you ever seen a bigger grin?

Viking Warrior Posted 21 January, 2011 Posted 21 January, 2011 I think we should buy moses. he could split the oppostions defence with a wave of his hands. barabas would make a mean central defender which shouldnt sign quasimodo he gets the hump to quickly
Deppo Posted 21 January, 2011 Posted 21 January, 2011 Adkins mentioned Dale Jennings in the interview - can you imagine Jennings on the left, Chambo on the right....wow, that would be awesome. Lallana could play as the second striker or centre midfielder. Lets hope Jennings is one of those we're after. What does he say about him? Proper fans have season tickets and if they can't manage that then they at least have Saints Player. You call yourself a fan? Shame on you.
SaintRichmond Posted 21 January, 2011 Posted 21 January, 2011 Both Chaplow and Lallana were shown training and Hammond has started running again. Adkins said Lallana's scan was far better than first feared. I am somewhat surprised that Lallana didn't remain injured until after the Transfer window

I doubt he would come here from Wigan though. Played 11 times for them this season and scored 2 goals.
derry Posted 21 January, 2011 Posted 21 January, 2011 I have a feeling we have bid big for some good players, but our big is not big enough and Cortese won't overbid.
Saint Charlie Posted 21 January, 2011 Posted 21 January, 2011 I have a feeling we have bid big for some good players, but our big is not big enough and Cortese won't overbid. Everything happens in the last week. Teams sit on the bids to see if higher ones come in or if they can persuade their players to stay. people know we have money so put prices up etc. I am sure NC has it under control.
Shroppie Posted 21 January, 2011 Posted 21 January, 2011 I'm really worried the bus driver will pick up an injury. What the ?*?* will we do if we're all on the bus and it's going nowhere?
SaintNeil90 Posted 21 January, 2011 Posted 21 January, 2011 They wear bibs on the pitch before a game when they are warming up, that doesn't mean they are starting does it! I think its more likely a training thing than a starting line up thing. Also Dale Jennings is a striker NOT a winger.
Window Cleaner Posted 21 January, 2011 Posted 21 January, 2011 I have a feeling we have bid big for some good players, but our big is not big enough and Cortese won't overbid. Pilkington and Austin, we don't seem to be getting either of them.

Up until a few weeks ago the "non-bibs" were the starting side, then when this had been noticed and documented it was the blue bibs for a couple of weeks. Since this has also been noticed and reported on it's no longer quite as clear cut. They've even thrown in a few yellow bibs to confuse us even more.
suewhistle Posted 21 January, 2011 Posted 21 January, 2011 I'm really worried the bus driver will pick up an injury. What the ?*?* will we do if we're all on the bus and it's going nowhere? Get a busman who's on holiday? Having a browse here has just reminded me of part of a dream I had last night. I was driving a coach but was sat on the wrong side and had to make a panic move across to the other side when I realised I didn't have any brake pedal. I was on the way to Wembley but was hopelessly lost and was thinking about dumping the coach and getting the tube... I blame Adkins and reading too many posts here!
Turkish Posted 21 January, 2011 Posted 21 January, 2011 I'm really worried the bus driver will pick up an injury. What the ?*?* will we do if we're all on the bus and it's going nowhere? Two options, we could sign a back up bus driver, although really we could do with three or four incase they get injured. We could always sign a conductor who could fill in as a driver if we are hit with an injury crisis, he wont be as good but at least we'll have cover.
Ken Tone Posted 21 January, 2011 Posted 21 January, 2011 Atkins may not risk Lallana at Tranmere. We may see him on the bench, but I think he will play a part if required All depends on Adam I presume Atkins is the bloke we've signed as cover for Adkins? Nigel must have a secret injury. Why haven't we been told? And people mock those that say we need more cover! Apparently the reserve chairman, Corteze, is still on the bench though.
Shroppie Posted 21 January, 2011 Posted 21 January, 2011 Get a busman who's on holiday? Pure genius. Have you thought of taking up football management? Having a browse here has just reminded me of part of a dream I had last night. I was driving a coach but was sat on the wrong side and had to make a panic move across to the other side when I realised I didn't have any brake pedal. I was on the way to Wembley but was hopelessly lost and was thinking about dumping the coach and getting the tube... Very strangely, I have a recurrent dream about driving a busload of people when I don't have a licence. All started when I once drove a busload of people not realising my licnece had expired. But I think we digress....
Shroppie Posted 21 January, 2011 Posted 21 January, 2011 we could sign a back up bus driver Nooooooo! We can't have the bus backing up!
Viking Warrior Posted 21 January, 2011 Posted 21 January, 2011 Shroppie I have just had a txt from a mate at the bus depot the conductors got clippieitis. and is out for the forseable future . there is no replacement and therefore due to health and safety legislation nobody is allowed on the bus
