Very interesting interview just released on Saints Player.

Seems Adam Lallana is going to be back much sooner than they expected and showed him training with the guys.

Adkins reiterated that Chambo is our player and they are still concentrating on making sure he can flourish as a player in the best way.

Lots of work has been going on regarding getting players in

Besides the waffle and the the normal Adkin-isms it was a comforting interview.

Both Chaplow and Lallana were shown training and Hammond has started running again. Adkins said Lallana's scan was far better than first feared.

First time all season

Lallana is fit and training and so it Chaplow??? FFS!!!!!! You mean that whole thread about buying cover players for them being out injured for the rest of the season was a waste of time and cyber space? FFS, they might have at least been injured for a month each given the effort that went into that thread. The skin on Alpines finger tips has burned off given the ferocity of his typing.

FFS Turkish that's not the point! If they are not seriously injured now, it just means that the odds of probability mean they will be some time in the future. They may even leave the club one day FFS. The club really need to pull their finger out and sort this mess out or we can kiss promotion goodbye

Joke or serious? I can't tell. It appears to be serious, but it makes me laugh, so I'm not sure.

I have a far bigger concern. No-one seems to have thought about it. BUT, what if the players we sign to replace Lallana and Chaplow get injured??

This really needs to be addressed asap or we can give up on kicking a ball into a net again.

But what about the players we buy to replace the players to replace Lallana and Chaplow get injured, we will be in a worse state than the cheats if that happens

Agree. No doubt the happy clappers will be coming on soon to tell us that everything will be fine

Thats all when and good.

But if the replacements bought for the replacements of the replacements of the first 11 get injured we are well and truelly up sheet street.

You lot keep banging on about the players, but what if Cortese or - God forbid - Adkins picked up a knock or hit a bad patch of form?

We'd be up sh*t creek without a paddle or paddlers.

What if we end up in sh*t creek and we lose our paddles ??

We need to get some replacement paddles.

OR WORSE

WHAT IF WE LOSE THE SH*T CREEK ??

Jesus christ

Easy if its that bad we can find our way home because it's 27 miles due west

Adkins mentioned Dale Jennings in the interview - can you imagine Jennings on the left, Chambo on the right....wow, that would be awesome. Lallana could play as the second striker or centre midfielder. Lets hope Jennings is one of those we're after.

Atkins may not risk Lallana at Tranmere. We may see him on the bench, but I think he will play a part if required
Who is Atkins?? Lallana is miles away from being available. HTH

dont even want to think what would happen if we lost jesus Christ or if he got injured, he's got easter coming up and that is a busy time for us, we aint going to get through it without him, if he is f*cked you can kiss easter and christmas goodbye and John the Baptist and virgin Mary just aint up to standard when it comes to being sons of god.

Huddersfield and Sheffield Wednesday have made offers for him if you believe their forums.

Hmm not really looking like signing him then. Shame.

Adkins knows better than to come out and say 'oh yeah they've got a lad who's one to watch with a promising future, and oh yeah we've put in a bid of a million pounds for him'.

If he had a choice between Saints, Huddersfield and Sheff Weds, its a no brainer for him surely.

Well obviously but I thought he had just mentioned him out of the blue which is much more revealing than just talking about our next opponent's danger men.

Just picks him out as one to watch in the Tranmere team and says he has big future, like Chamberlain.

So we're not going to sign him up just to b****r up Tranmere's chances for this weekend?

Striaght toss up between Wednesday and Huddersfield, our squad is far to weak for promtion, whereas they have signed players during the window.

Jennings looks like one hell of a player. No idea if he's a target, but would be an excellent signing.

The Lallana bit is good news as IMHO we look a tad ordinary/pedestrian without his flare and creativity.

Give him a rest for a fortnight and grind out a result at Tranmere.

what exactly is wrong with lallana? seemed to be running around alright in the adkins interview.

It's an old video of him that has been spliced into the new interview footage to make Tranmere believe he's fit. Probably...

I think you will find that although John the Baptist and the virgin Mary are not up to standard as substitute sons of God; they would be far more comfortable in the role in the championship/premier league.

They both have talent but maybe lack the muscle needed for the rough 'n tumble of league one deity relations.

Were either or both of them wearing bibs?
