I think the dinners are a better way of working it anyway.

Dinner invites with NC are ten or so at a time. A broadcast Q & A session reaches tens of thousands, surely the later is better.

And as for season ticket holders opinion being more worthy, i know of 2 season ticket holders who aren't even Saints fans!

I bet you don't even go to the fans forum when its on Hypo. There wont be one this season, get over it!

Why make a comment like that? For your information I know James Luff, the bloke who reads the scores on Solent so he sorts me out with a couple of tickets every year. I have been to every one since Lowe.

I don't think it should be an either or scenario. Both methods have advantages and I think both should be used IMO.

I made that comment because this is the same thread you have made 3 times previous. It is covering all the same things. And in my opinion we dont need a fans forum after the terrific interview Cortese gave to the BBC at the start of December, what else could you want to ask him after that. Boring Boring Boring thread.

I originally asked if there was going to be a fans forum, many said it was delayed. I asked again after a couple of months because I had not heard anything and posters said it had been delayed until the new year but Cortese had said it was something he was very keen to make happen. It is now the new year so I am asking again to see if anything has been organised like Solent said it would. If anything it is Solent's failing for not following it up but no it is not covering all the same things. Your opinion may be that we don't need a fans forum but in my opinion we do and according to those who were at the dinner, it is an opinion which Cortese shares. Can you respect that some people may have a different opinion to you?

It always amazes me that people post on a thread just to call it boring. If you don't like it then don't bother to post!

Have to say I agree. I think both have their merits.

A larger forum open to all where the Club can connect with supporters, share some good news, answer some questions and where the Club can gain some positive PR from, and smaller ones where it can be more like a focus group.

The smaller ones could even vary from season ticket holders, to members to casual fans with each one focussing on how the various groups feel about the Club (e.g. I would have thought one targeted at non STH's could try and find out why they are not STH and what could be done to win them over).

So instead of asking your Solent aquaintance who gets you the tickets every time when the next one is, you post three threads over several months. Do this terribly good friend not have a phone?

I asked him in October but there had not been a decision then. I since dropped my phone in a puddle, losing his number in the process. Thanks for the concern though but this is a public forum and the first two times I asked the question I received a satisfactory reply.

Excellent idea Steve and thanks for the courteous reply. I know this has been said before but it really is a pleasure having you back posting.

I have no concern for you, just the tedium you spread.

So, they don't pick a select bunch of questions or people to speak before hand??? Or limit the number of questions/speakers?

Limiting the number of questions is not vetting the questions. People put their hands up and are then invited to ask a question, the questions are not known beforehand and therefore are not vetted.

NC was asked at the last come dine with me event in December and he said that there would be one in January/Feb 2011 havent seen anything yet though.

Fantastic. This is exactly what I was looking for when starting this thread. Thank you very much, maybe someone could remind him of this if they are going to a dinner in the future?

Kindly stop posting in the thread if you find it tedious. Posting on the thread calling it tedious only serves to heighten the tedium.

No its not specific to the thread. Its your very being, your snide, repetitive, negative, belittlng, poisonous essence which sucks life, humour and joie d'vivre out of the very oxygen in the air that I find tedious.

All of the above posts are more examples of the lies that Hypochondriac cannot help but tell.

Now there's one good reason to back up your sim!

It would be nice to an alternative to the come dine with me events (which are a great idea) for non STH fans to attend. Perhaps it can be done coming up to the start of the season to get everyone out of the building and on the Saints bus.

I'd also have everyone in the building and open up SMS for a "Fun Day" before the start of the season. I'm sure we did that once (or twice??) in recent years didn't we???

I think that was part of the 'Go Wilde' campaign. Nice idea (the fun day not the campaign).

Im normally away over the summer, so memory a little bit hazy. Thought we also had on when Poortvliet was in charge??

I got dragged to one they did at Villa a few years back and thought it was a very good day for all involved. Watched some training, met the players and had a tour of Villa Park. It just seemed a really easy way of bringing the supporters and the club closer together for minimal cost. The younger generation certainly appeared to enjoy it.
