Jonnyboy Posted 19 January, 2011 Posted 19 January, 2011 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2270743,00.html tough to decide! Ive whittled it down to A,B,F or G...
Saint_clark Posted 19 January, 2011 Posted 19 January, 2011 Thomas without a doubt. Celebration makes it even better.
Saint Garrett Posted 19 January, 2011 Posted 19 January, 2011 Rickie seems to have got so much more space last year, and the first thing that comes into his mind was just shooting. I've gotta go for the MK Dons goal... Goal B.
benjii Posted 19 January, 2011 Posted 19 January, 2011 If he meant it then Chamberlain's was probably the best - goal out of nothing from a completely unconventional shooting position. There has to be a fair element of doubt as to whether it was a fluke though. On the basis that Chambo's was a fluke, Lambert away to MK Dons has to be the best. To control a goalkick, turn and hit it into the opposite goal instantly takes skill, poise, vision and technique. Again, a goal out of nothing. Thomas' is without doubt the funniest for some reason. Honorable mentions to Schneiderlin (one goal FFS), Lallana and Barnard.
Nexstar Posted 19 January, 2011 Posted 19 January, 2011 Thomas just because of his control, accuracy and the fact he's a centre-back!
Saint_clark Posted 19 January, 2011 Posted 19 January, 2011 Chamberlain scored two like that in that game, the first was a definite fluke - but that one he meant. He had the time, he looked up and everything.
Jonnyboy Posted 19 January, 2011 Author Posted 19 January, 2011 Yeah i like Lambo's B goal, but it just seems a pale imitation of Le Tiss' goal of the season against Blackburn...

Lighthouse Posted 19 January, 2011 Posted 19 January, 2011 I was lucky enough to be present for all 3 of the goals people are talking about. For me it's got to be Thomas, but only just ahead of Rickie at the Dons. Third would have to be Connolly against Norwich. Fabulous strike.
SaintNeil90 Posted 19 January, 2011 Posted 19 January, 2011 Chamberlain scored two like that in that game, the first was a definite fluke - but that one he meant. He had the time, he looked up and everything. He doesnt look up at all... watch the video closely.
saintscottofthenortham Posted 20 January, 2011 Posted 20 January, 2011 Lambo @ MK Franchise. No question.

Lighthouse Posted 20 January, 2011 Posted 20 January, 2011 2009 no? Fair point. Good though wasn't it.
SuperMikey Posted 20 January, 2011 Posted 20 January, 2011 Rickie's vs MK and Hartlepool were both very well taken, but it'll have to be Wayne Thomas against Ipswich for me. What a strike! I was lucky enough to be at the front of the Kingsland where he was celebrating too - class!
St.Thomas7 Posted 20 January, 2011 Posted 20 January, 2011 No one has said it but for me it's Morgan v Rovers... What a strike for a first goal!
toofarnorth Posted 20 January, 2011 Posted 20 January, 2011 Rickie against franchise for me. Me too. Mainly for the initial control. Sheer class
thesaint sfc Posted 20 January, 2011 Posted 20 January, 2011 Thomas without a doubt. Celebration makes it even better. This.
Andyb1 Posted 20 January, 2011 Posted 20 January, 2011 How did Papa Waigo's goal get on there? Crap cross, crap defending, open goal. My mum could have scored that.
Colinjb Posted 20 January, 2011 Posted 20 January, 2011 Has to be Wayne Thomas. I remember that moment well. "Oh great it's fallen to Thomas.... Awful first touch... useless bastar... OH MY GOD!!!!!!!'
Saint Stimp Posted 20 January, 2011 Posted 20 January, 2011 How did Papa Waigo's goal get on there? Crap cross, crap defending, open goal. My mum could have scored that. I reckon they've put it in for a laugh..
buctootim Posted 20 January, 2011 Posted 20 January, 2011 (edited) Lots of very good strikes but none which are amazing solo efforts - running, beating two or three players and slotting home. Shame the Guly Blackpool goal was in 2011 Edited 20 January, 2011 by buctootim
Liquidshokk Posted 20 January, 2011 Posted 20 January, 2011 No one has said it but for me it's Morgan v Rovers... What a strike for a first goal! Schniederlin for me. Fantastic technique. Definately schneiderlin for me too! great goal, albeit the only goal. Rickys was great but keeper was stupidly too far off his line, Didnt thomas' take a heavy deflection? and chambos was a fluke as we've already discussed... Why oh why doesnt schneiderlin shoot anymore...
