Having seen him play a few times this season I am praying he hasn't come here. Big, clumsy but a bit strong. League 2 is perhaps even above his level.

13 goals in 15 matches isnt shabby.

I watch Hereford play when I an visiting 'Mrs Colinjb' on certain weekends.

He may get a few goals but as a footballer he is just an awkward lump. An Adebayo Akinfenwa type striker.... But taller and less round.

If he signed I would be praying for the best but my god, this reminds me of Reading wanting BWP.

Well they decided against BWP and went for some guy called Brett Williams from Eastleigh, did we just miss out on the next Charlie Austin?

My friend who supports Hereford said this about him

He's quick, strong and brilliant with the ball at his feet when he drops into the hole and runs at defenders. If he didn't get tired after like 55-65 minutes he'd be a machine. He runs himself into the ground every week though, it's hilarious when he's subbed cos he trys to run off but is just too tired to. Last week he was back in the LB region defending, did about 5 or 6 keep ups while running up the pitch and hit a brilliant cross field pass to set up the counter... He's quite confident in himself!

13 in 22 starts, young raw prospect, physical presence - could see someone like him being a target, more likely than Austin imho as right level

latest piece from sky dated 17th Jan: Manset unruffled by rumours doesn't link us anymore. Not that rumours are accurate or anything!

If true, I wonder where this leaves Doble... (out of the building/at the bus stop)?

Doesn't really say anything new. If he was to join us it might indicate that Guly was not going to be retained perhaps? Doble is too young and inexperienced at this time...not ready for the step up clearly.

"Manset is useless anyway. He went 12 games without scoring at the start of the season and always looks knackered after 30 minutes"

"For any premiership/Championship/league One scouts or managers trawling this board for our views on M Manset, he is rubbish. He still looks knackered after 30 minutes-indeed he is blowing hard on BullsPlayer after a mere three minutes on Saturday."

"To be fair to Manset though, Pitman's been playing him out of position. An experienced manager would play him out on the left wing, where he can use his pace and slight build to brush past defenders and whip in crosses for our more prolific strikers."

Hmmmm.....that last comment makes him look an ideal candidate to replace Puncheaon and/or Chamberlain (but, of course, they're not leaving the building, are they...?)

I think that last comment is meant to be ironic sarcasm.

He's 6'1", 13 stone 8 and built like a brick privvy.

Ah. Good spot! So, in conclusion....he's a mediocre League 2 player then

I feel he would be a gamble, especially as we're going all out for promotion. Maybe a Lambert like cover ? In his defence though, he is playing for Hereford who are 2nd bottom of League 2 so I bet he's hardly having the best service up front.

Seeing as he is a tank, any chance he fancies playing CB in a Jaidi-like replacement at the end of the season?

EXACTLY WHAT WE NEED ..to get out of this stupid division.

Someone who can put himself about, create havoc in the opposition penalty area and get a few goals into the bargain.

Talented, skilful and clever footballers are good to have ..in the Premiership, right now we need someone who can plunder defences

in L1 and CCC. Sounds like he's made to measure for us right now.

Loaning a player isn't a gamble, if he's ****e, then back he goes. Doble needs to go out on loan, maybe he could go the other way. I think DC will be moving in Jan.

Think sending Doble out on loan would a good idea. I have a feeling he could be class for us and would benifit with getting some games under his belt. Would be a good replacement for DC if he can get some experience and come back competing with the others. Seems to be stuck where he is at the mo.

Not according to BULLS NEWS(Hereford)......... He has gone to Southampton

Bulls News or Bulls hit??

Seems to be much ado about nothing. This transfer window is becoming tiresome in the extreme, just crap crap crap and more crap.

Nothing solid or definite. Roll on 1st feb.

He is playing for Neath now in the league of Wales!!! Scored 12 in 15 which may or may not be an achievement?!?

I could score 12 in 15 in the league of wales, the standard really is pretty low!

Against Brentford and Huddersfield away we looked very one dimensional, trying to play it out of the back to the full backs. Both teams just went tight on our full backs and also prepared for the ball down the line to our wingers. Adkins looks to have made a concerted effort to ‘mix it up a bit’ playing off Lambert at times and playing diagonal balls behind the full backs as well as keeping possession when we have the other team pinned back. This was executed perfectly against Blackpool in the cup.

This signing is probably to allow us to still have the longer option for when Lambert is knackered or if he gets injured. Also, taller players tend to take longer to develop and come in to their own much later in their career ala Nail Quinn and Kevin Davies.
