Lallana out for few months?

No, not really a contradiction at all, more an observation about perception. Do you not think it strange how the wrist slitters on here, no names mentioned, who rarely see our team yet claim to "support" them, see one thing, yet our promtion rivals see the opposite, which tends to subscribe to the majority view on the "this squad is good enough for promtion" thread. No doubt they all "inform" themselves from a lot of the same sources, strange one that.

So you know for a fact that every "wrist slitter" never sees the team, do you ?

And that BHA fans, who will see Saints a maximum of twice this season, who also give more credit to the team, are more correct, do you ?

And you talk about one picking up what they want to fit their agenda....

Sounds quite a concern and todays performance when Lallana and Chaplow were out said it all for me - our promotion credentials will be significantly tarnished without those two. I was of the opinion we didn't need to strengthen with the squad we have, but watching Gobern today was painful - we urgently need more quality in midfield now or watch promotion slip away. If you think that's 'wrist slitting' it's not - it's showing genuine concern.

This.

If we have to resort to goburn, then we definitely need another midfielder.

Dale Jennings of Tranmere...Interesting to see how he plays against us..

Left wing or right....Age 19 yrs. Also pocket rocket striker..

Ryan Harley is not really a winger...Mid field link player in the hole as they say..

Harley may not be selected for Exeter JPT trophy game as doubt re Offski...

Tisdale states Brighton interest may have unsettled him? Mentions OTHER interested clubs..

PS Our Nigel would know about the likes of Woolford at Scunny.....No idea myself..

Snodgrass Leeds

Pilkington Hudds

Hoolahan Norwich

Macnamme Norwich

Unlikely........You never know..

Me thinks a good loan signing will come in...

F*ck me you are dull. Let me spell it out for you, it really isn't difficult and there is nothing to do with fitting agendas involved. Presumably BHA fans and our own fans that DONT go or haven't see our team, arm themselves with information from the same mediums? Match reports, internet forums, highlights, radio and media streams, looking at the squad list etc, Is that a fair assumption to make? Interesting that 90%, probably more, of Saints fans on the "this squad is strong enough from promotion" thread and also BHA fans think the squad is strong enough, in fact some BHA fans say we have a "huge" squad. Now i have no idea if the Saints fans on the thread mentioned or the BHA fans have seen our side in one game, every game or no games, however the general consesus of fans that do or dont to games is that our squad IS good enough for promotion, only a handful seem to disagree, which is fine, everyone is entitled to their opinion but only one seems to constantly bleat about it on every thread possible and fail to suggest why he thinks it isn't good enough or where it should be improved, just that it is because he says it is, this person then goes onto accuse others of having agendas. There you go sir, in very, very simple terms. Is that plain enough for you? Or are you now going to highlight a part of a sentance and twist it to fit your agenda?

Shhhhhhhhhh it's a secret, even if he had both legs in plaster we want Tranmere to think he might be fit in time for Saturday.

Nutshell.

I think we can almost guarantee no official announcement on this before Saturday for that very reason.

However, for my fellow reading-between-the-lines colleagues, should we see 'candid' video footage of Lallana hobbling around the training ground on crutches tomorrow then we can be assured that he is fighting fit and will play on Saturday....

But only if he does/doesn't have a blue bib.

Talking to a fellow Saints fan this lunchtime about how important AL was to us this season.

He did a bit of digging and apparently this is our record this season with and without him (a bit unnerving...) :-

P W D L F A

With 24 17 3 4 53 14

Without 6 0 2 4 0 8

There were of course other factors but there is no doubt he is our most important player and if he is out for say 6 weeks or longer we will need to bring someone in to have an impact. I don't think the current squad can cover for him if we want to be in the top 2.

A bit unnerving, perhaps, but the the data size for the "without" is so much smaller, its difficult to make cast-iron judgements.

On the other hand, if it is really true that we had sod-all attempts on goal against Notts County...

We had attempts on goal... none on target though iirc.

It isn't, we missed four good chances and had one cleared off the line, quite how the stats say 0 shots on target is strange when we had one off the line which the players and half the crowd thought went over it.

I'm not worried and I'll stick my neck out and say that Lallana will play against Tranmere

I think and hope this is pure gamesmanship

One other point - We all no the importants of Lallana, but we also need to consider the stats for Chaplow who has helped Lallana's win to match ratio this season since his arrival.

anyone worried we haven't heard anything yet? If it was good news they'd surley shout it from the rooftops as soon as they could.

I actually think no news is potentially good news as it could mean they are playing mind games with our next opponents. Why tell Tranmere how to prepare for Saturday's game?

We'll get a few video clips of the team training tomorrow so we can play 'spot the limp' then... :-)

Nigel added that he is also hopeful of some speedy returns from the treatment room, as Adam Lallana and Dean Hammond's situations were explained prior to the journey up to Merseyside.

"Progressing nicely, and progressing well with their rehab. Dean has started to do some running and we are really pleased with the outcome of Adam's diagnosis, so he will be back a lot quicker than we had expected. We are really pleased about that, it's a big positive."

That is a relief.
