Another new manager for one of our promotion rivals...

They've lost their best striker in McClean. I wouldn't be overly concearned, lets hope new manager syndrome hits them on saturday and they turn Brighton over.

Indeed. Wouldn't it be great to be top of the league. Not that Notts County will be easy.

And Joe Lewis has handed in a transfer request.

Loads of Man U reserves coming in I fear

Quite. Presumably the players Daddy Ferguson brought back from Preston the day his son was sacked can now be loaned to Peterboro.

The stories about young Man U players being frozen out if they didn't sign for the other Ferguson son as their agent, and the blatant way that sort of nepotism works in football where it would be a misconduct/sacking matter elsewhere, in 'real' life, makes me wish that once Peterboro have beaten Brighton this weekend, they never win another game till they sack Ferguson again.

Ferguson back at Peterborough.....Now confirmed.....

Something we should be concerned about?

I know that I will be accused of arrogance, tempting fate etc etc but ....

Who really cares what the other teams in our division do??? After last night and the progress that we are making under Adkins, it is clear that they are only squabbling over who will end up second to us ;-) ;-)

Sir Alex didn't loan him anyone this season I don't think at Preston....

He will be awful, would be more worried of Gary Johnson had stayed

I think Preston did have .." someone " ?

I recall reading that Man U. recalled him...the day after Darren got the boot ..!

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Sheffield-Wednesday-manager-want-Paul-Ince-Notts-County-replace-Alan-Irvine-article682859.html

Paul Ince is the man Sheffield Wednesday want to replace under-pressure Alan Irvine.

Fallen giants Wednesday have not won in League One since 11 December and are currently 10th in the table, four points adrift of the play-offs.

In contrast, Notts County have enjoyed a stunning run in the same division since Ince took over from Craig Short in October, suffering just one defeat in his last 10 matches.

Ferguson ..that's surely the kiss of death to their promotion hopes, unless his Dad loans him Michael Owen.

I don't think so, I can't stand Ferguson Jnr, but he got them Promotions last time

The most worrying thing is that Mackail-Smith is in good form

We shouldnt be worried about other teams. If we perform well then there's no chance of them catching us. We should be looking up, not over our shoulders.

That said, Wednesday will be a threat if they get a decent manager, and P'boro already are a threat now they're under Ferguson Jnr.

Wednesday are almost 10 points behind us and 14 points behind Bournemouth in 2nd.

They're no longer a threat for the automatics no matter who is in charge imo. They will need the teams in the top 6 atm to have a total collapse for them to stand a chance.

Playoffs at most for them.

I feel sorry for Andy Scott because he got Brentford promoted from L2

They are a smallish London club with no money and a ground capacity of just 12000

What do these Chairman expect - Champions League?

But they've only won 1 out of their last 8, 5 defeats and 2 draws or something like that. They're in an awful position and

relegation to League 2 is extremely undesirable. Plus when Wotton scores against you it's a bad sign.

Bad news, Sheffield Wednesday are easily good enough for top two under a decent manager.

Fortunately then .. the BBC are reporting that mad Milan wants to appoint Megson.

Aw shame, that's them f*cked then!!

What I'd really like to see, though, is MM appoint Roy Keane. Now that would be funny ... :D

Megson would do very well there, that would not be good for Saints. He was much maligned for actually doing a decent job at Bolton. He gets players running till they drop, bit like Strachan was with us. Plus he played for Sheff Wed so will probably be popular there. I'd far rather they went for a marquee appointment and got Big Ron back.

Don't think we need to be bothered about his appointment and I don't see how this would not be good for us, hasn't actually set the world alight with any of his appointments, yes got the baggies up to the top flight but relegation has followed. WBA have just lived up to their name over the last decade. I for one won't be too bothered about him.
